Jules Isbill, the founder of the Bold and Beautiful, and the driving force behind this amazing, popular and successful group, joined us today after 5 months spent studying medicine in Perth. This daily drama is improving the quality of so many lives and we have Jules to thank for that. She is just a bit happy to be back!
It was anything but dull and miserable in our little corner of the world today. A great show of 138 swimmers, a lot making a special effort to see our Jules.
The surf was wild and woolly causing even most of the strong 6.30am swimmers to go from Halfway…
An air of excitement this Thursday as we all wait to share this amazing activity with the lovely lady who has put in so much work to the B&B. She arrives to welcoming arms, hugs and smackaroos!
Bella wore her ‘onesie’ in Jules’s honour!
We love you Jules!
The surf looks deceptively benign at times and then some huge sets come through. We are warned by an important- looking Surf Club guy that it is one of the most dangerous surfs he has seen and not to go in from the beach.
The sun breaks through just in time for our special Thursday swim…
We are all so happy to have Jules with us for a few days!
Our Queen is escorted to Halfway Beach!
We even have to time it right between sets, entering at Halfway.
The sky puts on an amazing display as we swim to Shelly!
Sandy has looked up to ‘smell the roses’!
Happy faces at Shelly!
And a lovely, pasty Irish man is glad to be alive!
And glad he met the beautiful lady with the huge heart, Little Sarah…
All of us swim back to Halfway exept a few experienced surf swimmers.
Very low tide as we swim in to Fairy Bower exposing those rocks where the yellowtail usually play…
Lyndall is proud to have her daughter, Zoe, swimming with her for the first time today.
And Stephen and Krystina make a gorgeous couple…
And so do Cara and Tristan!
Bathed in sunshine and smiles after the swim!
As a few sets of larger waves come through, Jules looks out for anyone who needs a helping hand, like she always used to…
Here’s someone who is always there to rescue damsels in distress. Looking a bit like The Hoff today, Drinky!
And in he goes to the aid of Jane who is suffering from ‘double quad cramps’ AGAIN!
The swim gets the thumbs up!
A strange coincidence that on the day our Queen returns, another Queen appears at a Fairy Bower shop window!
‘Be Jesuz, Matthew, Mark and Mary!’, says Attracta as she points out the blood on the railing. Someone got swept on the rocks after they tried to swim from the beach. Luckily most of us heeded the lifesavers warning and swam from Halfway. (He’s Ok apparently)
The waves are breaking really far out.
Another exraordinary swim completed…
So much pleasure can come from a 2 litre milk container filled with hot water after a swim. Love Cathie and Jules’s faces as they share a bottle!
The sky starts to cloud over as we dry ourselves off…Thanks for shining sun as we enjoyed this beautiful swim with Jules, and thank you for making it so special everyone!
Greg McDonaugh, a great favourite with the ladies, has constructed an implement aimed at giving as many people pleasure as possible after a B&B swim. His 5 litre tank has a fine spray hose attached to it. Here he is yesterday with his Liquid Ecstasy Giver!
We had so uch fun at the last B&B dinner so let’s make an effort and come along next Tuesday 2nd JULY…and is a great chance to catch up with your B&B friends at an informal gathering. The cost is excellent value at $20 for two courses, with $5 drinks, $5 desserts and no corkage for BYO wine. Bluewater also now offers $25 special meals in addition to our standard $20 deal. Bookings are essential so Click here to book early and avoid disappointment. Don’t forget, the next batch of 500 km badges will also be presented on the night.

YES we will go to the Ball!

I’ve just had a look at the Pacific Challenge.
You’re nowhere near 500, you’ll need to get LSA to help you out I think..

The Rehab Run worked really well for a long while and then the Middle Eastern smuggling route got you moving on the PC too! Maybe time for another trip fliming in the dunes whilst we run the racket…..er….. you swim with the B&Bs:-)
Just note rates advertised by Stephen recently… an extra www tick doubles the price, of course!

You’re there, Elizabeth!
Note to all: when you look at the B&B Attendance, check the date at the top of the page. If it shows yesterday’s date, it means it is yesterday’s Attendance and that today’s Attendance hasn’t been uploaded yet!

Great blog Elaine. Sorry I missed the swim. Didn’t want to steal Jules’s thunder! 🙂

WOW
I just logged in to find someone going undercover under the DWSS name.
I’m impressed, who ever it is, thank you.
This completes the automation of my life. I don’t need to get on line to comment now, some one does it for me. All I need to do is rock up and swim. How cool is that!!!
btw, I agree with everything the imposter said. Well done!!

You’re welcome! I
‘ll have a bit more time on my hands now (except for when I’m knitting). In fact I could go undercover for everyone – that’s if you’ll allow me.
Then you can all do the swimming and I’ll just slave away doing all the real work. Sniff…..

Just enjoying a late night chuckle at the dialogue b/w DWSS, Lips and LSA/HKTQ – reckon canberra could utilise the quick wit and humour displayed by BnB blog-commentators (?speech-writing/spin-doctoring?)…not sure how well the country would run…but would we notice?
