YET another beautiful swim this morning!
We had heard reports of swarms of blue bottles on the way to Shelly
so we decided to head north!
John Kelly gave the announcement …..(he still managed to get stung going north tho!!)
(Also welcome back to John Kelly after his 60 hour birthday celebration…he made it!!)
Two destinations: either to The Pipe or continue on up to North Steyne Surf Club….
And how amazing it was!
REALLY CLEAR, WARM…the sun was just rising, some waves (not big) to play in!
Good fun going out behind the surfers too!

As I was sifting through my photos I was HORRIFIED to see Lips had managed to photo bomb! I was doing so well avoiding him too….. he’s good, very good…

Yeah look who turned up!!
Andrew brought some friends along from the USA – this was their first swim with us….they couldn’t have picked a better day…I think the guy was called Don Corleone…gulp…and I think he’s teaming up with Little Sarah and the triad gang!
Here his is putting his pink cap on….he insists we do this from now on…ok ok !!
Jenny Knapman this ‘bad’ photo is for you! Robbie fell for my cunning plan….. I asked him to model the BnB baby bib and…and the results speak for themselves! By the way the bib is for you Alyson!! And I have one for you too Lindsay!

I watched him dive down to the sea bed yesterday to check something out – quite a way below – and saw his technique! No bubbles! He held his breath the whole way down and up – I didn’t see a single bubble escape …from anywhere! 😀

John Kelly looks as if he had some birthday botox in the first photo! Glad he’s back! Great blog Lesley. It looks beautiful. Hope the blueys stay away for my blog tomorrow. I am hoping to get lots of fish photos. Still chuffed about getting eagle ray photos yesterday!

What a swim to N. Steyne! I could have swum all day, I could have swum all day, and still have asked for more…. tra-la-la.
One sad note – I lost my goggles in ankle deep water coming back in. They are View goggles and have my name (Stevenson) on an attached tape. Cuddles for finder.

As I watched the pink-hatted legion heading NORTH from Manly point this morning I thought … I HOPED … for one brief moment … that the BnB had finally decided to defect and seek refugee status in the REAL Northern Northern Beaches. Then alas, you all turned around! T-Abs, they are now all safely back with you in Manly. Why why why?

More NE wind forecast overnight, so blueys are likely to stay or even multiply. Sounds like another swim up North tomorrow.

Agree, swim to north steyne today was simply magic, best swim since I joined the pink caps roughly six months ago. See you all on the weekend for more. Will there be an easter egg hunt?!
