They say there is a ‘Man Drought’ in Sydney but there wasn’t down here at the B&B this morning! It was ‘raining men’ on a rainy, dull Thursday. (The first rainy Thursday I’ve had in my 16 months of blogging.) It was SO much fun though…with friendly, happy people, warm water and a few waves for a bit of excitement! JP and Rusty were the first to arrive at 6.25am…(Apart from bold LSA and Derek already in the water.)

Soon to be joined by Storchy and Drinky. (Can’t be sure if Storchy remembered to put his teeth in in the dark ;-))

The Drinks Express didn’t leave today! Drinky himself abandoned train and chose to surf instead…

More men arrive… (But we will forgive you if you think the one on the right has lovely lady legs.)

A roadworker joins us…Oh no, it’s Tedley! It’s his birthday tomorrow, I’d better be nice. (Join us for birthday cake after the swim on the benches.)

The two demure looking ladies on the left were the heroes of the day today! They looked after one of our 2 Newbies struggling a bit at The Point and helped him out at halfway. Well done Attracta and Jenny! (They’ve been averaging a ‘rescue’ a day this week.) The men just disappear when you need them!

Some went from Halfway but most enjoyed the trip through the surf before all ending up at Shelly. Only 50 -60 today! Why did the rain put the rest of you off? Scared of getting wet?
LSA outblogtarts Lips today!

Lovely Elizabeth and the Eastern side of Shelly!

John Kelly definitely does have something in his budgies Lesbubbles…something large and plastic! Newbie John was rescued by me and then deserted when in the hands of Jenny and Attracta I’m afraid as I was worried I wouldn’t get to Shelly for blog photos. John runs with Manly Running Club. He might need a bit more practise when it’s calmer.

When someone swims for the first time on a day like today I wonder do they come back? I think once they see the blog they must do.

Fabulous blog! …. As Drinks and I were saying, it can’t be too long and there can’t be too many blog-tart shots:-))
Actually, apologies to Lainey – she made the mistake of casually suggesting yesterday that I’d been keeping a low profile (unlike all the fish), so I hounded her today!

Low profile is your middle name, Sarah.
Great blog Lainey!
Thanks for mentioning my legs. I do get a lot of compliments on them lately. Not surprised.

Oh I’ve remembered what Sterling came in to say…something about Tim just pipped him at the post and beat him back to Manly! Btw it is only a race for 6 or 7 swimmers!
