81 Bold & Beautiful swimmers got the seal of approval this morning…
as we were lucky enough to be joined by this beautiful seal !!!

This gorgeous seal was floating with one pectoral fin out of the water, which apparently is common behaviour for seals, especially in the mornings as they regulate their body temperature.

You can view a very small video clip of the seal here
Michelle H stayed with the seal for the duration of our swim in case it was injured and eventually it started diving, spinning and playing all around her 🙂
As you will notice from a couple of the photos above, there were a few jimbles getting in on the action too.
It was another lovely swim this morning, with everyone looking like the bronzed aussies they are in the morning sun

There was a little bit of a wave and a rolling swell as we gathered at the point.
Where Paige and Michelle S consoled each other as they both missed the whale day

But… you don’t have to miss it, you can enjoy it all by reliving it with us again here… by watching some of the media coverage of our wonderful experience of having the whale come and swim with us:
There’s also a link their to listen to what Geoff Ross from National Parks and Wildlife had to say. It’s all well worth the watch / listen 🙂
Back to this morning… after playing with the seal we had to swim hard to Shelly as we knew everyone would be patiently waiting

We did also see a beautiful Wobbegong swimming down deep, but there was no time to swim down and get a close up of him.

A Southern Right Whale one day and a Seal two days later, do you think the good news is spreading amongst the marine world that we are there at 7am every day of the year to come and play with 🙂
How lucky are we !!
Congratulations to Lindsay and Richard as they are getting married at St Patrick’s in Manly this Sunday 🙂

Also happy belated 60th birthday to Ann Cameron for yesterday 🙂
Here are some more lovely photos taken of yesterday’s swim, when we were joined by the SMH camera man, courtesy of Steve White

Have a fabulous day and see you all again for more of the same great delights tomorrow morning at 7am.

Wow it really is wildlife week! I went for a run on Tuesday night after swimming with the whale and was joined by a beautiful little possum! Fun in the water and out – I have a renewed love for winter sport 🙂

Whales one day,a fur seal today – who would want to swim anywhere else? Radio interviews,a TV camera crew – it’s all action here in Manly. Great selection of photos, especially the seal.

A big thank you to Jenny, Michael, and John who swam to halfway beach with me after the double this morning – I really need to toughen up in the big (ish) waves!
