26/04/2012 – One of those gorgeous mornings!!

26/04/20127

Over 45 Bold and Beautiful Swimmers

It was one of those perfect mornings! Despite it being colder everyone turned up with happy faces!

Happy birthday to John Abbott (below) with his lovely wife Sarah.

And Happy Birthday to Nick!

Paige took control of a lot of the photography this morninga and did a great job…. thanks Paige!!

And I headed by foot around to Shelly and took some photos of everyone – I didn’t realise how loud we are waiting at the point! I could hear everyone!

Along the way I bumped into some of the gang around at half-way having a celebration for Nick! And baby Lilou was there! She just had her first swim with B &B! Look at those pink cheeks!

Everyone at Shelly – looking pretty cold and the jimbles are still zapping everyone! A happy birthday song for John A – and then off they went!

Shots of everyone coming back – And for the first time I got to see who is FIRST IN… That honour today goes to Chris Kiely followed closely by John Bond…

Apparently there was a fairy penguin that joined everyone coming back!!

Last night’s drinks at Manly Wine was another success! – below photo of Vicki Harbutt in her niece Annika’s Captain aeroplane pilot hat! (at Manly Wine). Thanks again to Manly Wine for the terrific service and food and drink!! (and it was on them too!!)

The total count for yesterday’s Anzac swim actually came out at 335, but it felt like over 400 people turned up, which is quite possible as I am sure many did not tick!

Below some more lovely photos sent to me from yesterday’s swim …

B&B swimmer Peta Saunders (below) just returned from teaching in Nepal for a month.  Michael Christie was winding her up something chronic about flying in and out of Luklah airport as its the most dangerous in the world so the photos were a promise/proof for Michael …and she obviously made it out safely!!

Also very cute Border Collie Milly needs a new home!! – please see Bold and Beautiful swimmer Derek Dreyer for more info… what a cheeky face!!

A few of us were watching the fairy penguin swimming along the shore-line under the surf club – a first for me! It sometimes pays to dress outside the club and be a snail!
Perfect swimming conditions for the rip and shark-phobics. Of course, not so perfect for those who copped some particularly mean jimbles:-/
A lovely cosy b’fast with cake at Manly Wine for Jon and Bob (last week’s b’day boy) and Nick (in our thoughts anyway – love his b’day card!!) and a star appearance from baby Lilou with her Mum & Dad – what a social baby she is:-)). Special thanks to Little Jenny who made some lovely oat cakes even though she couldn’t join us.

Thanks Sarah for the above ‘rest of story’ – you would make a GREAT blogger – you are natural story teller! Just say the word I will show you! 😉
Sorry about today’s ‘crappy’ scenery shots – they came out beautifully on my camera (my camera takes full credit I just pressed the button) but when I resized them they weren’t so impressive! 😀

So..how are everyone’s jimble lumps today? I’m pretty itchy, and can’t wait to see how they go off at hot yoga tonight…mmmm, jimbles.
We need to start a turtle breeding programme so all such pests get eaten up. A few dozen turtles would be so useful.
