25/10/2012 – Cappuccino Swim

25/10/20129

93 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

It’s a beautiful morning and the ocean has livened up a little.

With reports from Shaun, as one of the early lappers, that he got hammered on the way out and swam back to Half Way, that was cue enough for us that we should show our distinguishing features this morning.  So the Bold & Fearless took the low road, whilst the Sensible & Beautiful took the high road 🙂

The experienced surf swimmers got to enjoy plenty of waves

While the rest of us enjoyed our escort round to half way beach by our morning’s team mascots, Laura and Jasmine 🙂

They say the sun always shines on the righteous… I need not say anymore 😉

The bumpy water made for a fun filled swim, is was kinda like swimming through a Cappuccino with all the froth on top.

Russell got no response to any of his moves, despite finally dropping the balaclava.

Well maybe not quite no response… 😉

More people kept us company on the way back to half way beach, some found that tiring enough… click on the photo to enlarge and check out the facial expressions; caps nearly off, tongues hanging out, I’d say that was a challenging swim 🙂

Maria was stoked just to be back in the water 🙂

Some more great photos of this morning from Stephen.  I especially love the first one, just makes you smile.  So happy, vibrant and real.  Another 2013 B&B calendar photo maybe ??  What do you think ?

Talking of special photos, Tim’s photos from Trivia Night are now also up on the website here  There are two galleries of photos on the one page, so please make sure you keep scrolling down to see them all.

There seem to be a few big loitering chests around at the moment… 😉

They might well be the 2012 Trivia Winners, but Mary’s still one of the 2011 winners, loud and proud too 🙂

Happy birthday to Fiona and Sarah Knapman and Olly Rees today !

See you all tomorrow; same time, same place 🙂

James, Alex and I went flat out to catch up with you on the way back from our early to Queenscliff but didn’t quite manage it. When we got to Shelly we were panting like Puffing Billy and I was in such a state I had a little wee on Paige’s leg.
Lovely kids Mark – are they yours?
And Jules I love your calendar photo, although the hottie on the left looks like she’s holding an axe.

Big thanks to Julie, Mr.Kelly & co. making for a fun-filled night.

Miles, a little wee on my leg is totally worth it if I get to stand next to you!

Oh Russell, don’t you think it’s premature to drop the ‘balaclava’ sharkskin?
Mark, look f/w to seeing the girls back on the pink board soon!

Sorry so late, this is for the shift workers and insomniacs.
Cheers miles, not my kids I just found them one day and thought I’d give parenting a go.
Sarah, Laura is champing at the bit to get back to it and I’ve got her a new board to do so.
    Cheers one and all.
    Mark
