55 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
What’s not to love about winter swimming !! With clear skies, calm seas and crystal clear water, it’s like flying over a desert. The water visibility is just fantastic !

James took these lovely dawn photos of Lake Manly this morning.

Michelle is sooo excited… Sophie has a 6 month growing baby (not 6 babies ;-)) all nicely tucked up in there…

A fish eye’s view at the point.

5 swimmers were up and at it early enjoying a pre-dawn lap and 4 swimmers continued on afterwards for a double lap. Michael is doing daily double laps with no wetsuit, so for anyone who was wondering if it’s too cold to enjoy these beautiful winter swims, the answer is clearly “no” so come on down and enjoy these beautiful conditions 🙂
We are currently up to 2999 swimmers. That’s 2999 individuals that have ever swum with us since we began on 27th December 2008. Who will be our 3000th swimmer ?? Will it be tomorrow ?? Now that’s a thing worth celebrating !!

Today sees us start the 5th week of winter swimming, don’t worry even after this week there’s still 9 more weeks to go… and already 415 people have swum at least once, hence are all on target to get their winter badge as there are still 67 days to go and you only need to swim a minimum of 20 times over a minimum of 7 different weeks…. so the good news is… even if you haven’t done one winter swim yet, it’s still not too late to start !! 🙂

Check out Sprout Daily today, Murray has some beautiful photos from yesterday plus one of us from this morning too 🙂
Congratulations to Todd and his partner on the birth of their beautiful baby boy, Hudson !! How’s Toohey taking to the new addition Todd ??
Happy birthday to Jenny Hole today 🙂

wow it looks spectacular out there today!! Where was I?! In bed! :-/
I really LOVE all the photos from yesterday – my favourite is Margo throwing Bruce’s ashes across the water… very moving.
I’m pleased to report that some of Bruce’s ashes went into my eyes, so he had one last swim across to Shelly with me 🙂

cool pics and yes it felt even colder this morning than yesterday morning. We even had to swim around a small iceberg at Queenscliff!
