175 incredibly good looking swimmers joined us this morning. And that, despite management’s best efforts to confuse everyone by moving the start and finish line to Shelly Beach. Again.
Now, it’s Sunday and we all deserve a break from our intellectually taxing lifes and day jobs. So I made it my mission to return Sunday blog posts to their low-brow origins. With lots of colourful photos, dad jokes, cheap puns, sprinkled with the occasional bit of toilet humour and/or pop culture reference.
So feel free to do the dishes or turn on some daytime TV whilst reading.. you should have no problems keeping up.
Today was also a good day to ‘bring a friend’:
As we all know, Bold & Beautiful orginally started off as some sort of a pyramid scheme. Swimmers received their free pink cap under the condition to sign up at least three additional swimmers.
This pink ponzie scheme has rendered us over 9000 victims swimmers to date and is still going strong..

Luckily, the 7am call usually puts an end to these blog tarting excesses. Everyone was getting to the start line.
Now, I’m very proud of what happened next: Ava executing a false start worthy of honourary A-Team membership. Bishop, Sterling, Dave.. watch and learn:

Now for some important announcements..
To mix things up, we decided to try something different tomorrow. Instead of starting from Shelly Beach, we will meet in front of the surf club at South Steyne. I know, sounds weird, but bear with me.. the plan is to swim through the surf, gather at the point, swim to Shelly, and then all the way back to the surf club.
Also, tomorrow will be Australia Day..

There were 4 of my victims there today, Aly, Ted, Sharon and Beth and they loved it! Nice to have you back blogging Lips, it seems a while. Good on Ava and Stephanie. We were very lucky to have the whole Lips family!
