Rays from Heaven

All made it back safely…..and just as we got out a whole pod of dolphins swam by! TYPICAL!!!!

For the diary . . .

Anzac Day is TOMORROW.  Our remembrance gathering will take place
prior to the swim at 7 AM.  Gather on the
sand in front of the ramp, and as a large group is expected, do arrive early,
make your way to the sand so that the crowd is less congested on the walkway.

IF YOU ARE COMING FOR THE FIRST TIME PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY!! ABOUT 6.45AM

Also can regular swimmers stay at the BACK of the pack in the water ‘sheep dog’ style – so we can keep an eye on everyone! 🙂 thanks!!

*****

SAVE the date for the next B&B Dinner on May 7 at
Bluewater.  Great value meal of $20 and
all the fun you can have out of the water. . . within reason that is.  Meal kicks off at 6.30pm.

*****

Stats:

160 Swimmers – 8 newbies!

Temp: 20.5 – down 3 degrees since last Wednesday

Pod of dolphins AFTER we got out!!!

Air Temp: about 13!

Sunrise: 6.24

Sunset: 5.21pm

Speed blog Lesley, succinct, slightly witty, excellent!
Are the early swimmers doing a Dawn Service swim at or before 6:00 tomorrow?
Also for anyone interested there is a Dawn Service at 6am at the Surf Club too,
Colonel John Platt CSC will address an ANZAC Day service at Manly LSC at 6am tomorrow beside the boat ramp.

For those not swimming early, Colonel John Platt CSC will address an ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Manly LSC at 6am beside the boat ramp.

    Lovely blog Leswitt 🙂
Dolphins are so unreliable. Bet they don’t even wait at the point for the other dolphins to catch up. . .
Temp of 20.5! That is a drop of 1.5 degrees from yesterday. Perhaps time to unfurl the wetsuit.

Can we all assemble a bit north of the club tomorrow so that we don’t interfere with the Manly SC activities. Thanks.

Mary, I’m sure you can do it without a wetsuit this Winter. It’s all in the mind.

Ian – tomorrow I am happy to take anyone less confident round to Half Way and jump in with them there. Just let them know and I’ll kinda hang around near the outdoor shower end and sweep them off with me!

Now I see what people mean when they laugh at my photo stance! Terrible! You are such a blog pro Leswitt! Lovely photos of swimmers glowing as they enter the water!

it’s just a good “chair pose”, Lainey, and some of us are most envious of your lovely, long legs and the fact you made the Blog at all:-))
Love the next artistic pic of you with Mystery Man! Great job, Ms Lespeedo
Looking forward to Anzac blog (AND CARTOONS, hint, hint!!) already!

Nooo!!! Love wetsuit. Protects from nasty, stinging jimbles.

Sorry Ian, I’m with Mary on that one. Will be back in my Orca suit as soon as the water drops below 20.
Can’t wait. It’s like swimming in my duvet. Just faster.

Sorry it’s a bit late, but there is one free ticket to “Don Quixote” ballet at the Opera House tonight for anyone who would like it. Ring my friend Diane Sharland on 9907 7180. She is in Fairlight so easy to pick up.

Jane, be careful. That’s how these Facebook parties go viral. Next thing you know you have 1000 drunk teenagers in front of the Opera House turning over cars and throwing bricks..

……..and I don’t mean that DIANE is easy to pick up…….

…and to avoid any confusion, this is Young Jane talking! Yesterday, it was Baby Jane who we swam with….got the names mixed up:-)
Lips, think we may have to do some herding duties tomorrow….maybe even a soft herding double???
