121 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
were rewarded with another postcard perfect swim this morning.

We are so spoilt and spring has only just sprung. Summer is gonna be AWESOME 🙂

We have fun no matter what, but it sure is nicer when the weather’s on our side.

Some great shots taken at the point this morning, even if I do say so myself 😉

A nice natter and a group hug at Shelly

Revitalising everyone for the swim back

Our breath was certainly taken away for the few of us that saw the largest Kingfish ever, it was the size of me, seriously it was HUGE !!! Magnificent, but such a surprise, although it was even more surprised than we were. It wasn’t stopping for a photo, unlike our tranquil Port Jacksons who don’t get perturbed when 100+ pink caps admire them from above.

There were about 10 swimmers out there early enjoying the dawn lap this morning and ~8 doubled up with an extra lap after the regular swim.
Hope to see many of you down at Shelly Beach at 11am today to
support James Pittar in the last 2km of his 20km swim down from
Collaroy. The plan is that hopefully James will arrive at
Shelly around 11.30am and we join him for the final 2km of his swim in
our pink caps up to North
Steyne for a BBQ finish. James is blind himself and is completing this
swim to raise money for the Fred Hollows Association to
support other blind people.
200 Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, $25 each, for our B&B Fundraising Trivia Night from 6.30pm on Tues 23rd Oct generously hosted & sponsored by The Steyne Hotel.
Trivia teams will be in tables of 10. Our very
own John Kelly has kindly agreed to be our trivia master again for the
night and some fantastic prizes have started flowing in already, so get
your teams together, think of a theme and get ready to buy your tickets
this weekend. It will be a great, fun night together 🙂
Other B&B social occasions coming up:
- Next monthly B&B special $20 Bluewater dinner is tomorrow night,
24th September at 6.30pm. Bookings are essential so please book in here asap
- October’s monthly happy hour drinks and nibbles at Murray’s is on Wed 10th Oct, so please rsvp here and come and join in the fun

Loved this morning’s swim and also the privilege to join James Pittar for his last few kilometres. What a legend. He’s inspired me to try to ignore my own limitations and instead focus on my possibilities.
Maybe it’s a coincidence, but I can now see there’s a real possibility I will overtake Stephen Coulter of I Swim Too fame on the Pacific Challenge. Only two more swims….
