This past week has been exceptionally beautiful – especially when you consider that this mid winter. When the weather blesses you with days like this, you can’t help but be reminded of your good fortune.
It was also a bit of a Celebrity Saturday with the surprise arrival of Jules and Michael.
Chatting with Jules after the swim, she remarked on having enough. When you think about it, we really do have more than enough precious, priceless gifts on our morning swim.
We have enough sun rises to keep our attitudes bright.
Enough amazing sights to continually renew our wonder in the world.
Enough kindness from friends who are willing to lend a hand.
Enough joyous hellos (and hugs) to make you feel welcome.
More than enough company to share in the adventure.
Enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
Enough opportunity to allow yourself to have fun being very silly.
Warm enough water to celebrate the joy of making it to Shelly, in winter, and still being able to able to smile. Mind you with the temperature at 18.5 that is enough to make you grin from ear to ear.
Having enough time to cruise across the bay and see beautiful marine creatures.
Enough hot water to shower alone. . .
or share with friends 🙂
And enough courage to be prepared to take a challenging pose! Well done Anna.
Have a spectacular Saturday.
Mary

Excellent sentiments Mary and good to remember. Your photos are lovely. Rainer has a very wide arm span. No wonder he is a ocean swimmer natural. Anna’s handstand is just wow. Hard work on the swim back but beautiful conditions to do it in.

Goodness me … just logged in to ask Lesbubbs why Rainer’s arms have lengthened so much lately (she is good at explaining Rainerisms).
Only to see I am not the only one noticing.
Beautiful cloud shot, Mary 🙂

Thanks Roger. Have to confess that was taken yesterday, but it was so stunning I just had to use it today.

Love your words and matching photos Mary, a really great blog. Wonderful to see Jules and Michael this morning. So beautiful over the rocks on the way back. Lucky enough to see 2 Cuttlefish, one performing for us and then a PJ who swam up really close!

It’s an optical illusion Roger. I have unusually small hands and head.

You know what they say about men with small hands..
..their arms appear long.

Great blog Mary. Pleasure sharing the swim back with you. And not just because you had a camera.

Beautiful winter swim. So clear this morning.
Haha Mary. You know what… There’s some things I never have enough of and that’s swimming across the bay and seeing all our wonderful friends 🙂
So good to get back for a quick visit.
