136 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
enjoyed a totally gorgeous morning in the water together

Ian was joined by his niece and nephew who are visiting from inter-state, Molly aged 9 and Drew aged 11.

Everyone looked that extra vibrant and radiant in full sun

The water was beautiful and the swim was divine, it’s hardly surprising we had 10 new swimmers this morning. Welcome to you all 🙂

There were plenty of early swimmers including 3 up to Queensie and 14 for a double after the 7am lap.

See you all tomorrow morning, same place, same time.
You never know, we may just see this … !!! Check it out, a seriously cool video shared by Gaetan
Also after brekkie don’t forget to come down if you can to support James Pittar in the last 2km of his 20km swim down from Collaroy. Please meet at Shelly
Beach at 11am to be ready to swim at around 11.30am up to Queensie and back to North
Steyne. James is blind himself and is completing this swim to raise money for the Fred Hollows Association to
support other blind people. James would dearly love to have a sea of
pink
B&B caps following him for the last 2km, so please come if you can.
You’re welcome to join in
the BBQ at the end too 🙂
News from On Tour:
After a grueling couple of weeks Collie finally got to set off on his solo English Channel crossing at 1pm yesterday our time (4am in Dover). After an absolutely amazing effort, swimming for more than 11.5 hours the Skipper made the call, the tide was too strong. Collie is in amazing spirits, is very happy that he got to set off with his fantastic support crew and is extremely grateful for all the support that he received. Well done Collie, you’re one amazing champion !
Check out Nicolee’s sister’s living room decorated specially for last night 🙂

Meanwhile Libby has been walking in Park Lane, London

and Stephen has been sharing the pink with some new found swimming friends at Napels Canals in the USA.

Yesterday he had a lovely 3.2km swim with the Seal Beach Sea Monkeys. Pre-dawn for the first half of the swim, starting at 6am and swimming quite a way off shore past an oil rig !

Water Temperature 16.6

Getting ready to fly home. Channel crossing was not successful. Crew and systems worked perfectly on the day, just did not have the speed to conquer a 6.7 metre tide, only retrospect hope was to have swum 23hrs, and the weather window was 18 hrs. Thanks to James, Ben and Alex for all their help.

Crossing the Channel… to me it seems probably easier to fly to the moon on a duck. Amazing effort. I did my very first ocean swim ever today – what a treat! Calm water, wonderful sun, great company. I will definitely be back!
