98 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Shared a really lovely, fun swim together this morning with a great wave and a calm, warm bay.

The swimmers that went out through the waves were using the rip to it’s full potential, which you can see very clearly in the photo below, as it was living up to it’s name as the escalator, almost catapulting them out to the point.

With the surf a little bigger than yesterday a few more of us enjoyed the biathlon, starting and finishing with the pleasant walk to and from half way beach but all coming together, as always, at Shelly.

Gosh we swimmers are a healthy bunch, look at that lovely warm glow about us, even in mid winter !! Only 40 days of winter left – yippee 🙂

By the time the surf swimmers got back to the point ready to return to shore, it seemed that everyone knew how much fun it was out there, as it was traffic central.
With the beach being closed all the craft were out there enjoying the great waves too.

12 swimmers lapped it up enjoying a double before we all enjoyed brekkie together.
Happy birthday to Graham Kent today ! 🙂

See you all same time, same place tomorrow 🙂

Great pic of the rip Jules..really shows what it looks like!
I wish I had the lungs (and guts!) to swim out thru the waves…if I had choice between waves or jimble…I’d choose JIMBLES any day.!
Was surprised to see how clear the water still was…

…or..swim to half way thru jimbles/blue bottles, then walk along “feels like broken glass” path OR come through jimble free route then big waves…i’d choose half way!

Dilemmas, dilemmas….. As Pauline and I walked back from Half Way, we could see 3 or 4 swimmers had gone for the rip, guts and waves, but then on a closer inspection, decided to head back for the safer landing and “feels like broken glass” path.
