50 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
It was all fingers and toes in the dark this morning…
With everyone happy to be out enjoying the ocean along with the sunrise that was right on 7am as we entered the water, although it was a little hard to tell with all the cloud.

Midge started the ocean clean-up before she’d even got wet 🙂
Welcome to Verna Jakobs, Julia Maunder’s mum who has just arrived from England to have her first swim with us, but not content with just the pink cap she has taken a little souvenir from the rocks with her too… 😉
5 swimmers braved the dark for an early lap and 3 people continued on for a double after the 7am swim. Michael and Sam have already committed for the early lap tomorrow, in the water at 6.30am, if anyone else is keen ??
The next show at Glenn St Theatre is ‘Of Earth & Sky’ from the Banagarra Dance Theatre from 28th March – 1st April.

Bl**dy hell!! The big ole tiger going for the divers leg, i bet he sh*& himself! Sharks really remind me of dogs… although the result of a friendly nibble from a shark won’t be quite the same!!

I think if it was really trying to bite him he wouldn’t have a foot. He stroked its nose with his fin and that is the response from doing that [I think]- you rub their nose and they bare their teeth and open the mouth, like in a trance.

Gee, my “thumbs up” photo off the point makes me look a lot happier than i thought i was haha… for anyone that’s interested, this mornings sea temperature was one of the coldest, (if not the coldest) march temp at manly on record! (since at least 1981, according to surf-forecast.com). On a more positive note, lets hope the next week of sun provides some good sunrise swimming and warmer waters! brr, i think i need to invest in a wetsuit 🙂

Do our Dusky Whalers ever grow as big as those Tiger boys? I agree with you Gaetan those Yellowtails are building their numbers and getting very cheeky.
Jules…. Mark Merton (aerial boy) is an old buddy of mine, he must have been looking for me!!!
