Wonderful blog Lesley! Beaut hairstyles. And Mauricio’s video: words fail me. Just superb. Now I want to cuddle that baby Cuttlefish (Cuddlefish?) Don’t you love the way the big one keeps sprouting eyebrows? Mauricio, would you mind if I fwd. the vid. to my colleagues at the Australian Museum? If Mark wishes to use some of it in the website, I’ll get your permission and full details. We already have some of our star photographers on the site: Michel, Gaétan, Jules, Stephen C. I think. Anyone else?

And did anyone else (besides Lee and me) get demolished by Sea Lice today? Has anyone ever SEEN a blessed Sea Louse?

yes, I am currently sporting a very nice red spotty undergarment…oops, hang on, thats my sea lice bites. I may even give the two piece an airing tomorrow to thwart the pesky buggers.

You are so talented Lesbutt producing such a great blog at such speed while you were at work! Sea lice actually like to get inside cozzies and seem to particularly like boobs!
Amazing video Mauricio!

Hi Sarah
The norm for bringing newbies is to arrive at least 15 minutes prior at 645am. This gives some extra time to sign on, get your photo taken and go through the process.
Also customary for introducing a swimmer is to swim with the newbies to make sure they are ok and don’t need any help.
Also remember that we provide no water safety.
All swimmers have the option to swim what ever distance they feel comfortable with.
Swimmers can do one way only, just swim around to half way beach or just go back through the surf.
The main game is participation and having fun.
Remember. – no water safety is provided

Congratulations to Drinks for entering Lane one of the PC – it didn’t go un noticed!!!!
Congratulations Muricio for another great video. How you do that is amazing and the little baby at the end is a hit. your a legend.
Congratulations Fi (Half the size of FiFi) for a great article on the ocean swim site. Fi goes through her experience and thoughts while swimming the Warriewood to Mona swim last week and it is a great read.
Congratulations to myself, for winning the Hungry Jacks encouragement award at the Warriewood swim.
That one is going straight to the pool room.!!!!!

It was a bit confusing wasnt it 😉
Great emergency fill in blog Lesley.
Weve just had our first swim in the Indian Ocean:
2 BB swimmers in tranquil, calm 24.5 degree water at Cottesloe with a couple of small fish, a few under water boulders, and a gentle rolling wave at the shore. Brekkie afterwards overlooking the water. Somethings never change ! The only thing missing was a few thousand fish and pink capped friends.
P.S. for all you budding Rotto swimmers… its a long way 😉

Many thanks DWSS. I am concerned about going past the HK Triad Queen. Will her henchmen/women take a finger or toe if I pass her?????
Congrats to you on the Hungry Jack’s Lifetime Achievement Award – is that a Whopper a day for life?
Many thanks to Lesbutt for capturing my new hairdo, it took me hours!
Well done to the team of B&B Babes at Mona Vale on the weekend. Fifi 3rd in her age category. Trish Appleby 2nd in her category. And Brad “The Babe” Edwards 3rd in category and 25th outright. Wow!!!

And the sweet things (Sea Lice that is) can lurk inside your cossie till next time you wear it if it’s not totally dried – best to wash it in detergent I’ve found, and dry it in the sun.

Haha Lucy
Dont worry, I would not feel comfortable being situated between you and Brad.
I will not stop untill I am on top, if that make’s you feel better. Haha
Drinks, dangerous game you play with HKTQ.
If you do go past her, all of a sudden your attendance is overlooked and the Km’s stop accumulating. I suspect that well known crim (Nips Lips) to be behind this crime.
It is tough being the persecuted whistleblower.
Les-butt great last minute blog. Great work, great sacrifice, intellectually stimulating with great humour. Did I miss anything?

Sorry Lips – but you were so insistent – “DON’T TAKE A PHOTO or I will kill you” you said!? So confusing lips… :-p

It was actually a guess, but Michaels just been back down with his trusty thermometer now and its a whopping 25.6 degrees IN the water !! And 31.5 out 🙂
It seems the marine life have heard we were heading this way too as a Whale Shark was seen and filmed off one of the Perth beaches on Saturday. Seriously !! Come on over 🙂

Hooray Dolphin Shauny, you deserved your award. You should bring along your whopper and share it with your friends!!
Fantastics swim, team. Drinks, Trish and Brad all did really impressive times. Even id Brad was invisible. I guess he was so fast he was a blur.
How cute is that Cuttlefish? waving its yellow frills at the end, adorable.
