125 Swimmers including 4 newbies took to the 19.7C water today to avoid the giant dog that has been terrorising the Manly corso lately
However, the big waves were terrorising the Manly swimmers this morning aswell breaking both past the point and right on the point aswell.
Little Sarah decided to break out the “Rubber Duckie” to check out the conditions first
But it all looked very calm from the road over towards Shelley
Laura and Mark came back with the half way report
Conditions were looking good
And someone was happy to see me
Lesley was not happy to see me though, especially after I ruined her blog last Wednesday. I thought the Amish were meant to be friendly?
Dr Jane and friends were much happier to be photographed
Lori just back from winning the Ms World Surf Life saving title, winners sash still proudly hanging across her.
In some real news, BIG congrats to B&B’er Daniel Howitt who took part in the Port Macquarie IM race yesterday and was FIRST out of the water, even ahead of the professionals. Apparently he claims that winning his first WWW badge this year was the reason behind his success! Daniel’s wife is one of our lovely sponsors, please check out Innovations Sports Physio by clicking on the logo
We got out at half way
And headed back towards Manly
And were treated to a lovely coffee at Bluewater afterwards. Thanks to Hugh for the design, although I cant quite make out what it is.
Personally I prefer a spot of tea though. Especially if it comes with a bit of shark…
Keep swimming and smiling,
Robster the Blogster
PS – Lots of love and support to all those affected by the bushfires and to all those firefighters and volunteers helping out…you are all LEGENDS.

Going off Elaine’s temperature charts and the picture art on the coffee, I guess the water was not too cold today 😉

I love the coffee art of the man with the big nose and huge happy face.
Unfortunately the lip of the cup looks a bit dirty and unhygienic.

a great surf this morning. Half way in I had the best wave for years, sliding down a smooth and steep 5 footer, planeing on both hands! Wahoo!! – but after 5 to 10 m the wave ate me.
