21 April 2014 Cafe Bright & Beautiful Monday

21/04/20149

It’s Easter Monday aka “Bright Monday”,

which is customarily a day for visiting family and friends and “day drinking”.

For the The Bold & Beautiful EVERY day is Bright Monday because most swimmers spend more time drinking than swimming.

In Manly the choice for cafe chatter is unlimited, but here are some of my apres swim favourites…

Havana…..

3 Beans

Market Place Cafe…Hi Bella!

Manly Wine

Surf Club Cafe

Or in the sun, on the benches beside the beach….Hi Ros, nice coffee, great view..

There was some  action near the water today….

Storchy’s Tango lessons on the beach.

Bernard, ‘Tiger” Sonia, Marco, Matt (in wetsuit)

The air temp was a little chilly so Mark & Laura kept on their warm clothes until 6.59am.

Bright, Beautiful and surprisingly warm in the water at Shelly.

What a difference a day makes…check out Sprouts’ picture of the Bombora just a few days ago.

Do we live in Hawaii or Manly?

There is no mistaking it, we live in bright & beautiful Manly.

Have a beautiful “Bright Monday”!!!!!!

Happy swimming….

Simon (Leila, Max & Matilda)

The folders are going……B&B i-Log

Really if you haven’t been using the B&B i-Log then you must be new!! Almost 75% of swimmers are now using the B&B i-Log. Log your swim ANYTIME of day using this really efficient and easy way to ensure your swim is recorded in the daily attendance and on the Pacific Challenge. To get started, send an email to Ian Forster ugoboyo@gmail.com (This is not a link so please copy and paste into your email). He will check that your email address is activated on the attendance register then send you info on how to get started.

Staying safe

We have had seen the return of some serious waves and rips this past week! Were you prepared? Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

Great blog idea Simon – hope that makes it easier for new people to join in on the debriefs and chats after their swim.

A fully caffeinated blog. Well done Simon.
Thanks for posting that shot of the Bombie
Saw a Dusky just before the Point on the way back to Manly. Swam with it for about 30 seconds in quite shallow water over the rocks. Woo Hoo
