This week, as I was mumbling my shopping list to myself, looking at the ground preparing for a Woolies dash, masked up, but still holding my breath, I spotted some awesome bright red sneakers! As I looked up to commend the owner on their choice of shoes, who should I see peering out from the equally awesome looking red mask, was none other than John Kelly!
We stopped momentarily for a socially distanced chat, while we piled on the antiseptic lotion and wiped down the trolleys. I have to say I was super proud to be chatting with this masked fashionista. He should have featured in Di’s fashion blog last week!
Within a few moments some other very familiar people walked past peering over their masks. They were none other than Louise and Michael Stacey who had come over the bridge to have their AZ vaccine shot. They haven’t swum for ages as they have been away, however they were stoked at the birth of their son’s first baby girl. COVID hasn’t been all bad with the birth of lots of babies including owners of the surf club coffee shop, Kane and Annaliese baby boy, Ace! Congratulations to you all!
This photo is a reminder that we can swim closer to home if need be and still log a COVID swim. Balmoral is very cold currently, but it’s still beautiful and full of the same Vitamin Sea and a lot less crowded, hot showers and great takeaway coffee from the Balmoral Boat House! Same same but different!

This bird was very actively seeking out fish but he was in the wrong spot! There were plenty in all the places he wasn’t looking!

Hi Lucy, Thanks so much for posting the above. My work group and girls chat have gone crazy loving this! Will you be posting answers? There is debate if it’s Rolling stones of The Avalanches, Beatles or The Cockroaches etc – I need an adjudicator. Everyone is a winner is working for me lol
