Today’s headlining photo sums up our swim today. 231 swimmers fought against the odds and swam through what felt like walking through a dense wood at times.
” Arwww pwetty feeesh ”
Me taking a photo of the photographers taking a photo of us?!
Where do all these photos of us end up?
Sparkles telling us that “I’ve just seen Danni Minogue out there, it’s her birthday today, so remember to wish her Happy Birthday’. Speaking of birthdays …..
Here’s a couple of Heartbreakers….no, not men that break hearts ….but band members from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ….it’s Tom’s sixty second birthday today. We should have sang one of their hits at Shelly in honour.
You tube clip of the actual song here.
What about ….”I’ve just attended Storchy’s boot camp and the line up to get in was this big” or “Danni – I love you this much”.
Welcome to you all!
Ok. So I was lucky enough to hear Ness explaining to the John’s the quickest way back to The Point.
Lots more seaweed on the way back!
And this Wobby swimming from East to West across the bay.
Today is World Osteoporosis Day and launches a year-long campaign dedicated to raising global awareness of the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease
Hopefully our regular swimming keeps our bones nice and strong!
Enjoy your Sunday Manly.

Sorry to miss you, Snorks! Promise to blog-tart all the way with you and Lips next Sunday!
Beautiful 5.50 boulderdash, starting off with John F, Brendan and Jon A. Beautiful moon-light and then the sunrise.
All the mutton birds were sleeping in, having joined one of the many parties yesterday. A few en route to Shelly had clearly drunk too much, but not a single one, live or dead, en route to Queensie….. Silky water, gentle rolling waves and no sea-weed either in that direction….

Dear Lips
I was so sorry to read about your encounter with the Halfway Steps. I too have left my mark on them – 2 big dents about half way up (up the steps, not me, you fool). So we are among the battle-scarred elite

Oh Jane, how good to finally meet a fellow halfway step victim. I’m considering class action as well as a self-help group for victims and relatives and will reach out to you shortly.
Outsiders will never know what it feels like. Mocked the very construction that was designed to ‘assist’ us in leaving the water.
Hang in there. Nick promised he’s lobbying manly council for installation of a plaque to remember the many known and unknown victims of ‘halfway hell’..

I thought he said he’d be lobbying the council for a new pink, fluffy ramp? All will be revealed at the ribbon-cutting ceremony!
