20/04/2021 – Sparkling

20/04/20216

Everything was sparkling this morning! The sun on the water, reflection of ocean and the smiles of swimmers. What a morning! The air temp was just a bit lower than water temp which had risen to 19.9. Even the Cuttlefish’s ‘w’ shaped eyes were sparkling and around the edge of his ‘skirt’!

Rusty stops for a photo as he heads out with the early Swimmers. Rusty’s Mum Sue always looks at the blog from her home in England. (Hello Sue. Rusty’s being good!)

Stunning sunrise and it was a very special yoga session with sparkling Sally.

Alexis, Pierre and Colin caught in the rays of sunshine. (Fyi ladies…Alexis and Pierre are ‘single and ready to mingle’)

Brian and John

Bruce, Guy with Richard a bit slow to get in the photo!

Lesbubbs and Lyndell strike the ‘warming the hands pose’.

Ann and Kathryn

Alex and Didi

Some of the ‘Merpeople’ heading out for a 7 0 clock swim.

Today is the lovely Georgina’s birthday. Here she is with her fellow Wows!

Sheena, Derek and Lauren

Penny and friends

More sparkling swimmers!

There were a lot of laughs on the wall around Drinksy. In the middle we have Tim who many of you will have seen. He’s been filming us over the past 18 months and is a lovely guy. His documentary has amazing footage and is capturing the special magic of our swim group. He does need a bit of help funding the last stage of the documentary and this is where we can help. Keep your eyes and ears out for a fundraising night at The Steyne and other stuff that may be happening!

Alexis, Colin, Jim and Craig returning from their swim.

Jacques and Daniel. Jacques is the French National swimming champ and was first in today followed by Simon Buckingham! (Not that it’s a race)

I was very excited to see a Giant Cuttlefish today as along with Turtles they’re my favourite. Only Janet was around to share the experience but he was stunning!

Love their colour changes. They really are the cross-dressers of the sea! (They can even beat Shaun ;-)) This one actually turned a bit green when swimming over the green weed!

More sparkles underwater

and Freddie…happy in the Autumn sunshine!

Have a great day folks!

Lainey
