“I’ll try”…
Stand up and say those two words out loud. Go on, we can wait…
It blows the wind out of your chest. There’s an emptiness, it just hangs there. You ever notice that?
Now say, “I’ll do my best”… Notice how your chin lifts? There’s certaintly. Stuff’s gonna get done!
How about hope? Hoping is similar to trying. Hope has a hollowness about it. Hope for something and try to picture it… Kinda blurry huh?
Now take that same thing and anticipate it. See how anticipate has energy? It’s there, as if it’s already happened. Anticipation shines light where hope is stumbling around in the dark.
So what about the swim this morning?
Well, on mornings like this you don’t get down here to swim by ‘trying’ and ‘hoping’.
You anticipate, you do your best, that’s how it gets done.

oh it was so brilliant – the water was perfect and flat and we all knew each other at the Point!

Food for thought Andrew – and I love the wet deserted beachfront.
By the way, I should have said that my daughter Clare’s free Ladybug Music demos are for babies and toddlers too. Go to:

Great blog Andrew,
I hope to try to swim tomorrow.
I agree Bubbles, felt like a time warp to several years ago., standing in the rain sipping tea.

Loved the rain on water, heading to Shelly. Kept my mouth shut in whatever that stuff was floating at Shelly Beach. Freshwater lit us a heater inside. Rain can be fun 🙂

Yeah Roger, the rain on the water this morning was amazing. Kind of looked like blue velour. Hard to capture the full effect of the rain in the photos.

The brown water is akin to yellow snow…
