20/04/14 Happy Egg Day

20/04/201416

Eggstra special swimmers turned up the for the great annual egg hunt. Once a year, on a very importants weekend we enjoy an eggstravaganza of a swim.

Here’s my Easter montage 😉

Keep your eyes peeled for the yolks and the eggs, they’re everywhere ….you just gotta look for them.

Firstly a roll back to a couple of this weeks highlights…..

Kate dropped in to say hello to us all.

Photo courtesy of Royal Correspondent filming for Deutsche Times, Rainer the Lips.

Two of our lovely swimmers enjoyed the choc filled celebration and their annual getting old gracefully event.

Here’s Princess Toni..

And Prince Greg

And our eggstra special Lesbubbles gets all Easter-fied.

Lots of bunnies joined us today, best bunny ears forward please.

Bunny ear your friends too! (Check out not so impressed non-bunny ear wearer to the right of the photo) “aren’t we just here to swim?”

Back to the egg hunt.

The hunt starts by looking out the horizon, did you see any as you ducked under the waves? Today’s weren’t as big as yesterday, that’s for sure, so most took the surf club option.

Eggstrodinary everyone is waiting at The Point. Just a quick note, If you can’t see the blue floral egg, you’ve swum too far!

Keep an eye on your Easter baskets, you never know what might turn up in them!

A scooter riding Easter bunny!

Here’s a great eggs-ample of friendless at Shelly beach.

Eggs and bunnies at Shelly!

Wendy bunny looking v professional here. All ears and no nose.

Foolishly these people are all hunting out to sea for the eggs, when they are sitting on the wall all along.

The great egg hunt goes on, Krystyna found hers.

Helen shows us how to hunt under the water for eggs!

Ah! Although the Wobbygong is protective of hers!

We even celebrate by giving out eggs. Here’s Jane and hers.

Nick picked up and proudly displays two.

Oh and this egg is so big, I can’t quite see the lucky person who won it!

Blog tarting on Egg day is a challenge….it’s the egg or the person that gets centre stage!

In other news:
Jill and daughter (over from Hong Kong) enjoy a swim together.

The table of plenty enjoying a couple of eggstra minutes together before their days start.

Here’s how to become famous …….well appear in the Sydney Morning Herald at least!

Time for an Easter joke.

Answer:

Funny Bunny
Disclaimer: some bunnies may or may not have been harmed to bring this awesome joke to you.
Scotsman seen with wallet in hand
Bill McCaffeeeeine snapped actually purchasing a coffee for someone else (you may or may not know that Bill is from this wee corner of the world called ‘Scotland’ and they are known to be extremely ………………..)
Feel free to fill in the blanks in the comments section.

If you are new, we love meeting you…..this note is for you….

The folders are going……B&B i-Log

Really if you haven’t been using the B&B i-Log then you must be new!! Almost 75% of swimmers are now using the B&B i-Log. Log your swim ANYTIME of day using this really efficient and easy way to ensure your swim is recorded in the daily attendance and on the Pacific Challenge. To get started, send an email to Ian Forster ugoboyo@gmail.com (This is not a link so please copy and paste into your email). He will check that your email address is activated on the attendance register then send you info on how to get started.

Staying safe

We have had seen the return of some serious waves and rips this past week! Were you prepared? Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

I gave Tedley the $$ for the winning ticket on your table this morning. If Ted isn’t home yet, it’s because he’s out spending it in Easter eggs!

Well done Snorkles! That’s the spirit.
Exactly what our readers love about the Sunday blog team – all lowbrow and fluffy ears.

Great blog Shazza. I had to swim the early Drink-less express this morning, so I could hurry home and retrieve the chocolate eggs before my children could eat them all.
