Carrying this blog camera seems like it really slows me down on the swim. Ok, the drag is minimal, but it’s noticeable. Maybe because less is more when you’re out here swimming.
We over complicate life with things, with needs and hyper-rationalised concepts. All redundant layers of paraphernalia to keep us safely separated from a memory of feeling that we weren’t enough, weren’t a certain ‘perfect’ at some time or another.
Anyone who has truly lived understands that the perfection we seek is found not by adding more, but only when there is nothing more to take away. Perfection is not out beyond us, it’s here all along, patiently waiting to be uncovered, waiting to be remembered.
There’s an innate simplicity to swimming, and in that simplicity an opportunity to remember. Reach with your arm, feel with your hand, turn with your neck, breath into your lungs, kick with your legs, and be.
Be with your whole self. Need less.
Want for nothing.

Staying safe
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Rainer is blowing kisses to you instead of jumping into the air 😍👍. Remembering to just be is tricky sometimes. 😊

You’re wise beyond your years, young Andrew.

Timely as we celebrate this season more through giving gifts rather than spending time…
