47 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
So many Port Jacksons around at the moment which is lovely. Michael Christie found an unhatched Port Jackson egg on the weekend. Apparently their babies are usually born in October so hopefully we should be seeing some around soon 🙂
4 swimmers enjoyed an early lap to Queenscliff and 5 completed a second bonus lap to Shelly afterwards to make the most of these beautiful conditions.
Dolphins everywhere after we got out of the water, damn.
Beautiful photos today from James Goins, thank you James.
Stephen Coulter has just advised that today is ‘International Talk Like a Pirate Day’. Does anyone know any pirate jokes ?? Stephen is starting us off with:
- Where do Pirates keep their hats?
Above their buccaneers!
- Why are Pirates called Pirates?
Because they Arghhhhh!
Congratulations to Anne Wilson and Thomas Landgrebe who completed the Sydney Marathon yesterday. I’m sure there were other B&B swimmers out there pounding the pavement too, well done to you all. I’m in awe of you guys, it will be great to see you back in the water now though 😉
Tim’s fact of the day: “The sailfish, the swordfish and the mako shark have all been clocked at swimming over 80 km/hr.” what about boy Michel… ??
Water Temperature 18.2 degrees.
Air Temperature 14 degrees.
Sunrise 5.51am.
Sunset 5.48pm.
High Tide: 11.33am.
Low Tide: 6.02pm.
The feet in yesterday’s photo were Stephen Coulters 🙂
Who is this in the photo below ?? It was taken on Saturday…

I give up on guessing games, I thought Stephen’s feet were mine. Anna and Iain, how could you want me in your trivia night teams ?!?

Brendan,
You are on the ‘Intelligent Drinkers’ trivia team.
We have a member requirement of been either intelligent or a drinker but fortunately not both at the same time.
Iain
ps. Anna no poaching!

Oi! No poaching you say? Hmmm, the kettle, the pot, black etc.
Brendan – Robin and I understand you were poached ruthlessly by Iain’s trivia team and that you’d rather be on our team really. You are welcome to defect Iain’s team should you feel it would be nicer to be on a winning team. (ours)

I have not been ‘assigned to a team’ but can I just say I am considered quite a useless-trivia whizz, as in, useless trivia – not I am useless ;-P …especially on Hollywood / celeb gossip…and a bit of quantum physics!
Great swim today!

Just perfect conditions today with the calm, clear waters – well worth the second lap. Arrived back too early for the dolphins.

Anna,
If you persist I will get my legal representation (Brendan) to pursue a restraining order against you.

Lesley,
Me and Anna only started putting teams together Sunday and I quickly aligned myself with a few long distance swimmers as a bit of a theme to my team.
You should consider putting a team together as I would encourage all B&B members and friends of to do.
We can have a smashing game of trivia and enjoy a lager or twelve at the same time.

Lesley sounds like a better bet than someone who can’t even recognise his own feet!
