65 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Fronted up to enjoy yet another beautiful morning !! It’s so tough the view we have to endure every morning as we arrive for our swim 😉 Thanks Lesley for this photo and for the great blog yesterday.

You can see how it takes it’s toll on all of us

Not that we are making a point of the point or anything…

But… it was lovely to all be gathered together ‘at the point’ this morning 🙂

With some enjoying the view

The jimbles are definitely depleting – yippee !! Although we did have a few other jellies amongst the mix this morning… They are all part of the plankton family right ?? And… whales eat plankton ! So… it could be whale day tomorrow 🙂

I accidentally discovered that Jimbles don’t like the flash of the camera. When I took a photo of one the other day with the flash accidentally left on, it actively swam away from me, going deep as fast as it could. So… maybe we should all swim with strobe lights !
How’s this for a dramatic display as we swam across the bay this morning… Golden Crocodile Clouds !

You can tell Isabel, Saane and Derek are a family, all adjusting their goggles in unison ready for the swim back together 🙂

You gotta love the way feet glow underwater

Talking of feet, this is one serious pair !

Now you’ve enjoyed the swim you feel ready to embrace the day 🙂

2 swimmers enjoyed the pre-dawn lap and John, Michael and Rob Boylan enjoyed a double which was Rob’s first to celebrate his birthday for last Monday, happy belated birthday Rob 🙂

Also happy birthday to Simon Smith today !

55 swimmers have now qualified for their winter badge so far ! With another 294 on target and another 167 who need to swim soon to make sure they don’t miss out… To check out which category you’re in click here
If you haven’t done a winter swim yet, but you’d like to get your badge it’s not too late !!! But, you must swim at least once between now and Sunday, then you need to swim at least once a week and 20 times in total before the 31st August !!! Come on… you’ll love it 🙂
Some more fabulous updates from our B&B swimmers on tour…
Ragnill has been to the southern most part of Norway where the water is gorgeous (and the same temperature that we have now in Manly). So she donned her pink cap and enjoyed a lovely morning swim 🙂
But Ragnill does say it’s not the same solo… with no mating fish to watch either 🙁

Plus Dave Brown taking B&B to participate in yet another international event ! This time the Splash & Dash with South End Rowing club in San Francisco, which is Brent’s local club, who has just arrived home safely but is missing us already 🙂

Plus there was a bar on the boat, so of course Dave just couldn’t help himself 🙂

Water Temperature 17.1
Air Temperature 9.0
Sunrise 6.56am
Sunset 5.07pm
High Tide: 8.19am
Low Tide: 1.56pm

Were those other jellies plankton?? I was surrounded by them on the way back, I hugged the rocks thinking i would avoid the jellies ..no such luck! They were everywhere – small, big and really big ones! gulp! mixed in with jimbles ;-(

Yep! They’re part of the Plankton, along with those little blue things and all the other little floaties in the water.

I want to know if its safe to come swimming tomorrow? Those jimbles scare me!!
Are you sure it was a fish in it’s bell and not someones finger?
Lovely photos as always.
