19/03/2012 – Great to be Alive

19/03/20129

52 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

A small seaweed entry led us to a clear point, with multiple schools of fish all gathered near the surface, just waiting to greet us 😉

Lots of duskies still around 🙂

8 people enjoyed the pre-dawn lap into Shelly including Gaetan without his extensions !! 🙂  John joined in on the double seeing Michael complete another triple 🙂

I’m sure Michael will be up for an early lap again tomorrow if anyone is keen to join him ??

Congratulations to Chris Cameron-Doe who achieved his Surf Life Saving Gold Medallion yesterday and to Andrew Parkinson who also re-qualified with his Gold Proficiency.

Our very own Timberlie from Manly Mac Art has done a brilliant job on our new websites !!!

Please check them out and let us know what you think, all Bold & Beautiful info can now be found at www.boldandbeautifulmanly.com.au

Lovely fish photos on yesterday’s blog. Jules, the black and grey fish is a Silver Drummer (Kyphosus sydneyanus). Lots of them at Fairlight but we don’t seem to see so many in the ocean. Mark replied re your Emperor the day before: “Hi Jane and Amanda,
I think the fish is a spangled emperor. The species seems to be variable in colour”.
We have a page on the AM site at http://www.australianmuseum.net.au/Spangled-Emperor-Lethrinus-nebulosus
