1/8/17 Happy Tuesday and 1st day of August – 31 swims left for Winter!

01/08/20178

Doesn’t Murray look relaxed before his swim, I just love this chilled out picture.

The air temp was a little cooler today, the water is still pretty good. Not quite as good, visibility-wise today.

The Offshore swell was pumping along the northern beaches but our little corner at Manly was smooth.

Always happy the WOW’s ….Cheryl, Emma, Monica and Lisa.

Stunning sunrise, the early starters for the 7am swim heading out.

John and Jen getting ready for their swim.

Colin and Harry, just getting “suited up”.

The truth…

Where else can you get a break like this for $10?

Vital Stats:

Water Temp:17.9 (Air Temp 12)

Newbies: A Few

Swimmers: 160

Have a great day.

Jenny 🙂

Great blog Jenny, I love the photo of the swimmers entering the water with the sunrise in the background. Murray looks so relaxed and Lisa and the ladies have beautiful smiles.
Thank you for including the message re the Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation walk on Sunday morning and cake stall on Saturday morning, much appreciated. Thank you also to management for approving, it really is a worthwhile charity. The Foundation invests funds into critical pancreatic cancer research. This particular type of cancer has one of the poorest survival rates of all cancers, only 8% five years following initial diagnosis. Thank you all for your support x

Great choice of photos Jenny showing a lovely swim which I didn’t attend today. Pity I missed Rainer’s birthday, was he there? and Peta’s arch for 1000 kms. Well done Peta. My Tedley slipped through the radar and swam 2000 kms but didn’t log on and then logged back so we should make a fuss of him on his next swim Thursday. I hear it’s Cheryl’s 1000 km tomorrow and maybe Sterling’s 2000 tomorrow!
Thanks for the reminder re the walk for pancreatic cancer on Sunday and our cake stall on Saturday. Please help support this amazing charity set up by our own Caroline Kelly by walking, baking, eating or donating!

Lovely blog Jenny. Great photo of Murray! It was a great swim. Looking forward to all the long distance celebrations coming up. The cake stall on Saturday is getting some wonderful support already. Hopefully we can raise lots of funds and awareness for the Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
