Hi All, Zab here again, reporting from Team Omega at the other end of the pack ie where the Zedders hang out.
Well it was all happening in Pink Cap world again today. Last week I pointed out that our experience covers the whole gamut from A with the A team to Z with the Zedders of Team Omega. Everything in between from Booty Camp to yoga… and so
Being a Saturday (as with Tues & Thurs) the morning started with yoga.
It was the first time for Tayls
And for Nick – pushing some ZZZZZs probably dreaming about Sharkgirl
The Drinks Express hit the waves as the sun emerged with a pink welcome for the Pink Caps
The sun shimmered across the water and was brightest atop The Gap
The Gap is an all important landmark to a Zig-zagging Zedder like myself. Part of the reason I am so slow is that I dont follow the old adage of ‘the shortest distance between two points is a straight line’ I zig to the right and then to the left. 007 might be the top of the leader board on the Pacific Challenge but many of we Zedders have swum a lot more kms than that tally shows and frequently find ourselves in international waters en route to NZ!
Fortunately the B&B is a very collaborative squad and Slow Ian told me the Secret of The Gap. You see The Gap is that little indentation in the headland above Shelly Beach. For Newbies, or weaker swimmers just struggling to get across, you dont need to stop and look for the beach. Just Mind the Gap (and better here than on the London Underground).
Wetsuits, whilst disappearing fast as the water warms, come in all shapes and sizes. I think the best one are the Bond Girl ones. Here is one of our most beautiful Bond Girls – Heather. She is doing her best Angelina Jolie impression #Heathersleftleg ha ha
Here is one of today’s newbies. She is all the way from Canada and is here to visit her grandchild. She is another ELizabeth – yes another one! Watch out all you Ians and Johns, we are coming to get you!
As I entered the water I was walking behind Julia and her Dad, Bruce. They were walking in perfect time, their steps in perfect sync and their gaits the same as they chatted. How lucky they are to have each other. I lost my own dear Dad not so long ago. They are too fast gone and so long missed. Its wonderful to see the family connections so often appearing in the B&B and across all the generations eg Simon from his Dad on fathers day to his grandkids, or Mark and his girls, Luca, Lexie and Cam in winter and so many others whose names I dont know unfortunately. It is still special to see you out together in the water in your pink caps.
Here is another inspiring young lady – sorry I dont know your name
And here she is again en route waiting for the Lets Go and see it again… Mind the Gap
John Bonds thermom told us the water temp was 18.1. Mary didnt mind the temp, she was just relaxed about not having to blog!
The yoga classes are a real hit. They are on Tues, Thurs & Sat to complement Booty Camp on Mon, Wed, Fri with Sunday a sleep-in. Google Free Range Yoga. There is a lot of enthusiasm but sorry Sharkgirl the yoga is only at Manly Beach, not Shelly too.
It was nice to see the re-appearance today of some familiar faces from our B&B family. Wendy was back from helping her Dad and Dreamboat Dave is here for a short break. Sorry ladies, thats him calling out the Lets Go from Shelly, not puckering up for a kiss. Or maybe his is calling out to Sterling who is still at Manly Wine waiting for the coffee he ordered at 8 am yesterday. An award for incredible nature photography goes to Lainey Loo – who would it have thought it possible to take an unflattering photo of Dreamboat Dave !!!! Speaking of nature photography awards. Sure that pic of the irridescebt blue botttle in yesterdays blog was nice but you cant fool me. I am still scared of encountering those little mofos.
After the swim Kat told DWSS and I an incredible story about how one of her clients dropped of a heart attack right in front of her. Kat jumped to the rescue – literally and no doubt saved this ladies life. Begs the question… would you know what to do? Do you know your DrsABC’s If not why not find out. How brilliant to do something as incredible as Kat and save someones life. We loved you already Kat but even more now !!!
Todays Quiz:
1 Who do these legs belong to? I forgot to include this great pic from last week of one of our regulars duck diving down to photograph the Wobbegong at Shelly
2 Which dapper older Pink Capper has the sartorial elegance of his movie star namesake and was the main character in an Aussie Crawl song. At 78 he looks cool in his Mambos.
3. Which other regular Pink Capper once owned a brothel – and admits it!! I kid you not
4.This weeks quintessential Pink Capper – is definitely Bold & Beautiful, has blogged, and lead Booty Camp and Yoga and is widely loved by us all?
5. Whats the most important lesson you have learned today? hint, clue below
Dont forget – Mind the Gap
signing off, your Zig-zagging Zedder, Zab

No worries Booty camp Buffman – here is the version for those with more brawn than brains:
This morning lots of us wore pink caps & went for a swim. For some it was their 1st time. We saw fishes & had fun. The End.

Real effort with the words Zab…well done. Great shots….Just for the info of prospective male yogis…don’t think about wearing your sluggers without covering up with shorts. Was severely chastised by shark girl for not wearing shorts & sent home to put some on. Not a good impression I gave at my first day. Ah well…you’re never too old to learn the etiquette of beach yoga. Need yoga ” bold & beautiful ” shorts methinks…
