Over 36 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
We certainly have it all at Manly. Today it was wet, wild and a bundle of fun… 😉
6 swimmers went out from Manly, the rest of us went for our morning biathlon 😉

It must have been fun… check out all the smiles amongst the raindrops… I couldn’t get a clear photo as it was so up and down as we waited together just off half way beach which you can see from this little snippet of a video clip here

Michael thought there were sea lice in the water but it was the rain stinging as it landed so hard on his skin.
A nice group hug at Shelly to congratulate ourselves for enjoying today’s exciting swim together 🙂

Gaetan, James, Len and Roberto were the hardy souls who ventured out early, up to North Steyne and back !!
James took a great video of us ‘sensible swimmers’ getting in at half way beach which he will upload and share with us all soon.

Great to have you back James 🙂 x
Happy birthday to Greg McDonagh today !
Welcome to Derek’s brother who is visiting from the States. Look forward to you joining us in the water soon 🙂

Jules Mackin’s got it sorted, this is pretty much the only sensible thing to walk around in on a day like today… a wetsuit WITH an umbrella 🙂
Thanks for today’s blog title inspiration Anna and Lori 🙂

Great morning! Thank you again Michael for organising lovely conditions.
Here’s an MD article about the baby we retrieved the other day:

What a morning.
Jules, three years ago who’d a thunk that we’d have this many people on a day like this??
Here’s a video tribute to those halfway heroes!!

Cool video James 🙂
Quite ugly this morning, and according to magicseaweed it will be even bigger tomorrow.

Anyway, coffee shops are open regardless of the weather so it’s still worth coming down at 6 or 7! 🙂

Once again thankyou to my rescuers while getting out at Halfway this morning. I have inspected the damage to the stairs and I think surreptitious repairs can be executed by my Civil Engineering son without having to report the wreckage to Manly Council.

Jane you are one cool lady 🙂 A lot of grandmothers get their thrills from crosswords, knitting and baking (my lovely mum for one).
How’s your leg? I heard it took a beating and I’m not surprised as I saw how you were flung, flippers and all, further up those stairs.
Take care.

Have a look at the French Torpedo I found drifting off of South Steyne this morning.
