Only 39 swimmers turned up today! Actually that sounds like a lot but only about half of them went for a swim as it was definitely NOT enticing! Temp came in at 18.7…. i think?
Even Winston wasn’t his usual self!
Some really big waves…
The water came all the way up to the walkway!
Krystyna photo bombing!
The crazy ones who turned up! 🙂
Drinks Express was down to about 4 swimmers and Shaun!
An ordinary photo looking back at the beach…
Zoom in and what do we see? 3 crazy people going out through the surf! Simon “tough guy” Cowell, Dave “headcase’ Panton and I think the 3rd was Richard “hardman’ Glover!
Halfway wasn’t much better!
Except Loopy Lainy, Crazy Chris and myself did go in this way!
See, here is Loopy Lainy! Although not sure she made it to Shelly – last time I saw her she was being rescued by Dangerous Derek! 😀
Even the pool was being pounded!
Photos from Stephen of everyone who went in from Shelly – or did they??
ummm… maybe not!
OOH that’s it! Anyway it was still fun and I am pretty sure we all made it back safely!!
Bye For Now LocoBubbles!

Great blog LocoBubbles and respect to all swimmers on such a wild day! Especially the three who swam from the beach, although I’d much rather one of them not be my husband as it looked pretty big out there…..

DWTG, you mentioned in yesterday’s blog that Binsey was loaded AND single.
I heard he is 6’6″, he works out everyday in the gym and is pretty buff, knows how to treat a woman and doesn’t mind spending up big on those around him.
Can you confirm that? Thanks.

Mr Lemur, all I said was he must be rich as he is off flying overseas every two weeks.
He seems like a nice guy though.
I hope he finds someone soon!!
He looks like a lost soul sometimes down there at 456am looking for someone to share a story with.
We should make a special effort in the b and b and have a hug for Binsy day.
If you see him, don’t say anything, just give him a hug. I know I will.
It will make a huge difference to one of our own!

It was a bit rough out there today. It took us 20 mins to get to Shelly, but going back it only took 10 mins to get back to Manly. Very long shore break felt like it lasted half way to Shelly, plus a bumpy ride on the moguls out of Shelly. I stayed close to Richard and we came in a fair way north with Chris Noone. Dave cut in close to the point ahead of us.

No mention of the Drinks Express who went forth and swam 20 minutes out to sea before clearing the break, investigating conditions all the way to Shelley, then reporting the danger to all concerned….don’t say we don’t look after you….
