124 Bold and Beautiful swimmers enjoyed another great start to their day!!

A bit of a wave out there!!!

Arrgh!! This wave got me big time! Took my cap and goggles – it hit me right smack in da face and then held me under! Thanks to DWSS AKA Dolphin Whisperer AKA Shaun, for seeing if I was ok!

The big surprise of the morning was finding this fella, A Lion Fish!! Thanks to Elaine and Attracta who spotted it! It was so tough getting a photo of it I didn’t end up swimming to Shelly! 🙂

I wonder if someone dumped it there from their aquarium? He looked a bit lost! And the other fish weren’t at all bothered by it’s presence…

Attracta diving down to take a look!

How could anyone sleep-in an miss this!?!?

This person didn’t! 🙂A few big waves met us at the point! GULP! Monster waves predicted this weekend!
But then back in again it looked so flat?!? huh!?!

See you tonight!!
Murray’s in Manly for drinks tonight! I said from 6pm before but I reckon it’s 6.30pm (I can’t get there till then!) Happy Hour Drinks for Bold and Beautiful swimmers!
Simon Cowell captured a video of the Eagle Ray on Sunday… check it out!!! CLICK HERE

Well done Lesbutt! After 30 mins, 30 dive downs and 300 swear words you got some great photos of the lion fish! Another great swim/ fish hunt!

We think the lion fish might be sick as he doesn’t move much. If you want to see it, it’s near the tall palm tree!

BTW I think the lion fish is ok [not sick or lost] I have seen them before in the bay.

Did anyone else swim over the Dusky Whaler family and extended family? There were about 12 in one spot just off the point on the way back and some of them aren’t so small any more. Amazing but a tiny bit scary! I think my swimming just got faster!!

Lion Fish.. what a blog tart!
Lesbutt, can’t believe you didnt make it to Shelly because of that silly looking fish! I was there, waiting for the camera, ready for some outrageous stunts.. but you never showed up!!

Beautiful photo of the Lion Fish 🙂
Not half as beautiful as our swim over West this morning though as Cass flew all the way over, in uniform, especially to swim with us this morning !! Such a highlight, thanks Cass 🙂 There’s photographic evidence too which hopefully will make it through the ether in time for tomorrow’s blog 🙂

Hi Jane & BB swimmers,
While not common the Lionfish does get down to southern NSW, this would be the time of year for them before the water gets cold!
