Over 100 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
A beautiful swim in calm seas… as Lori said, it’s always beautiful when it rains 🙂
It’s certainly worth the dark start…
3 swimmers enjoyed a pre-dawn lap into Shelly, 6 swimmers continued on for a double after the regular swim, 7 continued on for a 6km and 2 did a 10km swim !! So much fun to choose to join in on 🙂
David Adams’ swam in the bare pink today, leaving his trademark ‘under the pink shorts’ at home for his last swim with us as he head’s back to Atlanta with his family tomorrow morning 🙁
Even Dave’s goggles were sad, they broke as he put them on… there’s a message Dave… you will be missed, as will your beautiful wife and daughter, Lindsay and Sydney – COME BACK SOON xxx
A gallery of Dave’s last swim…

Safe travels back to Hong Kong for Jon and Little Sarah, see you again next trip in only 3 weeks 🙂
Also it’s been fabulous having our friends from Japan swim with us over the last couple of weeks, Ayako, Hanshiro, Toshimitsu, safe trip home, we look forward to seeing you on your next holiday again soon.
We, being Timberlie (from Manly Mac Art), is currently doing a fantastic job updating our B&B website for us and separating Pacific Jules onto it’s own site, making room for much much more… Once both are up and live we’ll let you know all the details, in the meantime please bear with us over the next couple of days as everything is in transition phase.
There won’t be any interruption to the blog during this time so please keep the conversation alive 😉

Thank you to all of our swimmers who responded to the urgent plea for 20 swimmers to participate in the charity swim to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance tomorrow. They reached their full capacity so all teams can participate – thanks guys !!!

Enjoyable swim today despite the grey conditions. Farewell and have a safe journey home to Dave,Lindsay and little Sydney and also to Ayako,Toshi and Hanshiro who head back to Tokyo. Have a safe trip Sarah and Jon and will see you on your return. Dave did not have his trademark black tights on today as you would have noticed Ian Thorpe wearing them last night.

Well there wasn’t a huge crowd for the early swim this morning!!
Seriously you don’t know what you’re missing out on.
In the dark its like a trip on the Ghost Train when you were a kid. You can’t see anything and things jump out of the dark at you and make screaming noises… well that was me actually!
I think I’ll miss out on the early one tomorrow being Sunday – unless I get inundated with requests from swimmers wanting to recapture their childhood experiences.

BYE DAVE! It’s been good fun swimming with you over 10 months or so. Seeing you evolve from a seriously big scaredy cat, (I remember you saying ‘no way I will never go further than Shelly’) to a brave leader of the big swims!!
Hopefully we’ll see you again one day! 😉

Adios Dave – I’ll miss your big cheery grin and booming voice. Ragnill is starting to enjoy her laps in the chorine so just give it time. See you back in paradise sometime mate!

Farewell Dave! Thank you for all of your encouragement over the past few months. You are a BnB icon and will be sorely missed. All the best to you and your family for the next chapter of your life. Oh, and you may want to keep the pink budgeees tucked away when you first arrive in Atlanta, not sure how they will go over there.
