Happy friday everyone!
Is it because it’s the end of the week? Is it because we have birthdays to go to tonight? Is it because we know the water is crystal clear…
…or is it because it’s 6c out of the water?!
Yes it was a teeny bit chilly standing around this morning, but would you rather be anywhere else…?

Jazzie’s 20th winter swim today!

…and also Ness! Someone looks a little pleased with themselves… nice work!

It’s Annie’s birthday today! ……and Elaine has started the festivites as well…

The water is 17.2c … feeling fine!

…and crystal clear! Sparkles demonstrating….

There was something a little Monty Python about the point…..

The festival of Annie has officially started…

..this flathead was massive… right under everyone’s feet at Shelley

…these funny jelly thingys – non stinging but everywhere. The fish seem to be having a field day with them..

Our little friend is back, hiding and breaking cover and then pretending to be a rock or a bit of weed – hilarious -these are all the same animal!

On the way back we saw a couple of PJs hiding under the rocks… I tried to talk them out for pics but they looked a little “shagged out”

Stats:
Swimmers: 163!
Newbies: 1
Water: 17.2c!
Sunrise: 6:32am!
Sunset: 5:26pm!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Something got me :-(. I thought it was the spawning fish at Shelly, but perhaps not….?

Geez Nick
I hate, and it hurts to say this, but bloody great blog mate!
Images say it all, that clarity is unrool….
Is that really all the same cuttlefish? If so, never knew that not only do they change colour, but their texture also changes – how cool is that!
Oh, and Nick, really, really, good blog. Geez that hurt……..

How come it’s the people with wetsuits who get stung? Strage that!
Sky

Usually it’s those who boast about being ‘sting free’ that cop the big ones!!

That ol’ cuddlefish is a master – or mistress – of disguises! Do we know if they are male/female/transgender?
Fantastic to have all these photos of the super-clear water. Loving it!
