16/3/13 – Game On!

16/03/20136

So good to see everyone who went Annie’s farewell last night going home early, ready for a bright start.

Did you all get plenty of sleep? Good – cos you’re going to need it! Haha… Game on!

You could hear the surf before the sun came up this morning…. it must be Saturday – best day of the week! (E-laine)

160 of B&B’s most fearless turned up for some Saturday fun in a pounding surf!

There were some rescues even before we got in…

The strategy gears were grinding away….

Game faces on! Look at this bloke… who’d mess with him eh?

The rest of us…

OK Game on! …. or Half Game On….

Game on Sparkles 🙂

Our fan club was at the point…

I was hammered on the way out.. lost cap and goggles … luckily found the googles before I got hammered a couple of times more for good measure… but you can’t have this much fun lying down eh? Oh wait…

If you read Michael and Riddo’s Surf Safety tips .. one of the most important rules is: Never panic… just go with it…

Back to the game…

Over to Shelley.. serious game faces …

There’s always a clown to lighten it up though…

…and some were just confused..

…and… It’s Annie’s last swim for 3 Months! Take care over there please and make sure you post lots of pics! We’ll miss you xx

Class photo…. keep this close to you in case you get lonely 🙂 1-2-3 Yaaaaaaaaay!

We shared our beach with some of Manly’s finest…

E-bo-ny and I-vory… living together in perfect har-mon-y….

The return trip was fun… Here’s some very very rare shots of Brendan swimming with his arms…

And just to show he made it back…

Sheesh.. we all need some breakfast… Brian… cover those legs please!

Stephen C… I found out what happened to your living room art last night….

what an exciting day! Thanks for the company Sparkle!
I think I swam flat out at the point for about ten minutes on my return journey, and I didnt progress at all! I am SO glad to see that Brendan was driven to using his arms because I was at full speed to nowhere.
There was such a lot of water moving around, I chose to battle the rip rather than have my cap and goggles torn off by those big waves. Good sprinting practice!
Lovely blog today, great shots. 🙂

    Great pics as usual, Nick!
Can’t believe some of those guys like Iain, Todd, Miles & Roberto got to Queensie on their early bolderdash! I gather some got tumbled en route, but all lived to tell the tale:-)
Quite a work-out for those who came back through the surf!! Well done, Fifi & all!
