16/10/2012 – Little & Large

16/10/201211

100 Bold & Beautiful swimmers !

Top marks for a top swim; gorgeous weather and warm water, we’ve really got it all here 🙂

All shapes and sizes enjoy the bay.  This morning it was certainly a case of little and large with our gorgeous prolific dinner plate sized Stingarees

and a super sized beautiful big Bull Ray too which cruised under us as we gathered at the point, what a treat 🙂

Above the water was magnificent too.

With plenty of time at Shelly for trivia teams to strategise 😉

Don’t forget to theme your team !!  There’s a prize for the best dressed table 🙂

It’s only one week until our awesome trivia night !!  The prizes and
auction items are totally amazing !!  Check them out later today here

Plenty of time for our ever gorgeous blog tarts to get creative at Shelly too…

It seems Lesley was only a warm for Robbie this morning as he climbed his way to higher heights…

Some people use the swim back to race, others prefer to chat, take their time

and enjoy the sights…

After 12 months of thinking about it, Annie finally took the plunge this morning and joined us for her first ever swim, pretty damn happy she was about it too !  She’s gonna be back for sure 🙂

Well done and welcome to all our new swimmers this morning including Derek from Surrey in the UK who is here as part of the World Fire Fighters Games which are on here in Sydney at the moment.  Peter
Clyne is spreading the word to all his fellow firies so you never know we might see more of them over the coming days.

It’s been great to have you back with us for a week Neil, look forward to seeing you on your next holiday.

Thanks for the red carpet treatment this morning 😉

It’s great to be back, what a beautiful morning too !  The healing water is just what those tired legs needed, pure bliss not to have to carry my body weight for half an hour 🙂

Some on tour photos from Sunday for you.  The reason we didn’t see or get a photo with Sarah was because she finished ~2 hours before us !! 🙂

How’s this for cuter than cute… Lilou happy to be in training for her first B&B swim 🙂

Thanks heaps to Lesley Coulter, John Kelly and Ian Forster for holding the
fort whilst we were away and to Lesley for all the fantastic blogs too !

A lovely early morning sunrise shot from Elaine DJ this morning.  Beautiful, don’t miss tomorrow 🙂

Hi all – anyone planning a queenscliff swim tomorrow? Any idea if these pretty much go everyday as well or just mon/wed/fri?
    Thanks
    Dave

Congrats again to Jules & Team! Love the red carpet treatment.. really have to come down earlier in the mornings to ensure I dont miss out on all the pre-6:50 fun.
Little Sarah – missed you today!
Had to fall back on Rob for my blog tart photo today.. the king of tarts. I think he featured 4 times today!! He knows no shame.
Hope you’re back in the water tomorrow. Remember your PC mission for this year! You’re so close to making it back into that prestigious first column. And only one swim away from knocking Jalna off her 66th spot!!! 🙂
    (sorry Jalna!)

I know!!! Have been trying not to look, and act like I don’t care.
I’m not a competitive person but PC brings out the worst in me. I even have a screen saver shot of my 3 days on column 1.
I managed to get there while those around me were having back, and heart surgery, and away for extended stays.
But…..Karma caught up with my smugness , making me work way too much and inflicting a torn shoulder tendon.
Aaaaah column 1, good while it lasted.
Jump in Sarah, 66 is yours for the taking 😉

Thx for reminding me of my mission, Rainer…. will be there tomorrow for sure. Good pic of you and Rob – even if he made the camera go blurry….:-)
Jalna, let’s both make a move together to bump some of those column 1 upstarts out. We could find a long marathon to send them all away on for a start….
I didn’t think to get a screen saver shot of my 1 day in column 1 – next time. I’ve got 2 weeks before sliding down the snake again, so no more rest days:-)

Yeah yeah that could be another photo opportunity…. Elaine and all the fire fighters? We can figure out which country has hottest firies? Many ideas 🙂
Great bull ray can’t believe I didn’t see it!,
Hope u get better soon Jalna…I have a theory, if swimming didn’t cause the injury then u can swim for sure ..isn’t that right Anne Edwards? 😉
