164 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
turned out for a magnificent swim and took part in a commercial for the Telegraph this morning 🙂

It was a stunning day for it, with clear skies, brilliant sun and the most beautiful sparkling water.

Gosh we’re lucky to have the most beautiful place in the world, as an aquatic marine reserve, to swim in every single morning !

We even had a second gathering at the point this morning as the film crew also wanted to capture everyone coming out of the water together.

Another superb morning had by all 🙂

Thank you all for continually sharing your great photos !
10 swimmers continued on for a double lap making it back to Manly just in time to join in with some extra underwater footage for the commercial.
Manly’s Relay for life was a huge success with Maureen and Jenny setting up our B&B team tents from 9.30 yesterday morning. The walk went for 18 hours from 2pm through to 8am this morning and Maureen as beautiful and vibrant as always, stayed along with Jules Mackin for the whole duration !!

There were still plenty of smiles even at 1am when Sharon and Nigel handed over to Brendan.

There was even a silent disco, as they gave the relayers headphones that they pumped tunes through to keep everyone going through the night without disturbing the local residents.
Check out our team baton too ! Which was carried by one of us, as collectively we continued laps around the park for the whole 18 hours.

It was great to see some very welcome visitors from the B&B swing past and enjoy a few laps with us through the night and early morning too, thanks guys !

Iain raised some extra money and came second in the Miss Relay competition looking remarkably good as a Ladee !
Thank you to everyone who took part and who sponsored us, making it a fantastic success. If you still would like to sponsor us it’s not too late, you can do so here, thank you.
Meanwhile, on tour…
Collie has been testing out his lung capacity in the Serpentine. He’s feeling better but still has a chesty cough. They may now have a window this Thursday ! Keep everything crossed for them guys, they need all the love, support and good luck they can get now.

The final member of our Hawaii team, Richard Agius, is now back home with us too.
Whilst Richard was in Maui he met up with another social swimming group that swim on Sundays AND wear pink caps too !! 🙂 to view their blog for the date that Richard swam with them click here Don takes pictures each week of the group and Richard made it into 4 of them as below, all taken near Makena, Maui, Hawaii.

Good luck to all our swimmers who are participating in the Sydney Marathon and Half Marathon today.

Julie, what a fabulous morning and great turnout. We all love what you have created!! Thank you for giving us the motivation to get out of bed and into freezing waters every morning. Thank you for the physical and mental health sessions, the camaraderie and sense of community.
You are one amazing woman who could clearly teach any celebrity all about how to handle media with a great big smile, even while you were wet and cold and surrounded by hilarious hecklers 😉
Well done Julie!!!!
