126 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
More dream time conditions for us to get excited about. There wasn’t even a ripple out there this morning, it was unbelievably serene. More Manly Magic 🙂

A few great action shots…

The highlight of the morning was a large school of tiny baby squid just off the point. You can see them… click on the photo to enlarge it and look for their beautiful fluoro eyes… in the second photo there is a single one having just changed to a brown colour 🙂

Plenty of other activity around to enjoy in this great viz too 🙂

26 swimmers set off early; 6 headed north and 20 ventured into Shelly to be accompanied by a dusky doing beach patrol. 8 swimmers also continued on for an extra lap after the regular swim 🙂
Come down and make the most of these superb conditions for the next few mornings as big seas are predicted for the weekend…
We have organised for ‘The Orca Wetsuit Guru’ to visit Manly on the evening of Wed 16th May at 6.30pm. If you would like to come and try on an Orca wetsuit at that time please let me know and I’ll let you know where it will be. Thank you

Fantastic snorkel video in yesterday’s blog Gaetan. You seem to see so much more than us ordinary mortals! I’ll email you about some of the IDs.

Sorry, Michel – I see it was your fabulous video, not Gaetan’s!
I’ll redirect my email to Gaetan on to you.

Rain on its way enjoying as much ocean as you can. Who’s up for a 5:40 to Freshie and Back?

Any Snails – 6.20 in the water – Madlen, Maureen and I had a lovely early start this morning.
Jules, that’s the fish I keep mentioning in your pic with the top red ‘plume’ and underbelly. Sorry, can’t find the Hall of Fish Fame to check the name.

Sarah, that lovely fish is a crimson banded wrasse, female by the looks of things (grey body rather than grey with a patch of crimson by the tail).
The things you can learn off the internet, good eh?

Thx Anna, I’ve seen a couple recently and was almost stroking one at Half-Way later this morning. Jules did tell me the name, but I’d forgotten it. xx

no thank you 🙂 6:00 Freshie and back is good enough isn’t it? 😉
I think Cae and Len are coming tomorrow, I’ll definitely be there at 6, probably the last QC swim we can do until saturday as conditions look to be very bad for the next 4 days!
This morning was amazing, magical indeed Jules!
