While sifting through the numerous fan emails I get post Wednesday blog, I often also get asked a few questions about “Who is the real Lesbubbles” and “Where do you get your cool Rashies from?”. Until now, I have chose to ignore all these questions because I have better things to do.
But now, for this Wednesday only I have decided to answer a few of your excellent questions.
Question 1 comes from a J.Isbill: Did you always live in Manly?
Actually no. Born to an Amish mother and father, I am originally from Pennsylvania in the U.S.A. Here is the first family photo I was in, I’m third from the right.
We lived on a farm and certainly didn’t have views like this growing up!
Question 2 comes from a young scamp who only signed their email “LSA”. No idea what that means: I hear you are a personal stylist, who inspires your fashion sense?
Actually, I wasnt always as super cool as I am today believe it or not! Here is my school photo after I left the farm and got to Sydney as a teenager.
My real inspiration is Jane, here she is at today’s swim looking fab as always
Question 3 was badly written in German, but thanks to an online translator here it is: Hallo Gertrude, I am hoping help you give me getting friends in swim Manly group. I haf no friends.
Well, my German friend I would simply suggest to get into some more photos.
Or try “Photobombing”…you might like it
Even the fish try it out now and then:
Question 5 comes from a fellow blogger. Lets call her “Smorkels” for annonymity sakes: Lesley, you are the benchmark upon which all us bloggers try to reach. Thank you for raising the bar each and every week. Well “Smorkels”, that wasnt really a question but I think what you are trying to say is that I take great photos….this one of Annie this morning is dedicated to you!
(Congrats Annie on your 1 year B&B anniversary, although there is definitely no badge for that)
Last question comes from a guy who simply calls himself “The Welsh Dragon”. Hi Lesley, Im handsome, fit, a doctor and really, really funny but I feel there is so much more to life than my stunning good looks and awesome personality. What else is there in life?
Well Dr Dragon, I have similar afflictions. However I also find that there are things just as amazing as us every day during our swim.
Lovely people
Having some hijinx
But most important the amazing sea life that we come across like Fishicus Elephanticus
But watch out for those sea Tigers at Shelley!
Phew! Thats enough for one week you crazy kids…see you next week

Amazing, Lesbubbles! Definitely on the short-list for your blog of all Wednesdays! Great answers, especially the one to the Welsh Dragon:-))
For those in charge of the calendar, pls note that I’m working really, really hard on the blog tarting and photo-bombing, so please reserve a ‘berth’ for me!!!!

I knew it. You had to be from somewhere else to appreciate our marine life the way you do!
You’re really quite remarkable Lesbubbles, what with the fan mail you have to get through each day and the phone calls you have to filter, the fact you still find time to blog for us is outstanding. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

There is a good Amish story about a man his son and the first time they saw a lift in a hi-rise building
Great blog – keeps it all in perspective – if all those questions were real

Lesbubbles, thanks so much for allowing us a rare glimpse into your personal life and upbringing.
Truly inspiring story of a young Amish girl who managed, against the odds, to climb the Mt Everest of journalism that is the BnB blog.

Rob, I have just finished the attendance, so it should have updated by now. There was a problem with the remote login today, so for those who logged in via the App, can you please check the attendance to see if you are present. If you aren’t (and should be), please send me a text 0412331530. I have added those who I saw and were not listed, but I have probably missed a few.

Wonderful vid as usual, M. I think Mark might be interested in the Estuary Cobbler (formerly Catfish) swimming, as he has particularly asked for videos. But he is away for at least 2 weeks, so don’t send it yet.
For those who wondered, the stout-looking fish in the beginning are Southern Silver Drummer (Kyphosus sydneyanus). They could be confused with Bream, but the black trailing edge on the caudal fin is much thicker in the Drummer.

Thank you Jane, I will contact Mark later on.
These were my first blind sharks, there were two, I heard they usually live well deeper and rarely come up to the shallows. Is that right?
