Over 155 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Another divine swim in paradise 🙂
We are being thoroughly spoilt with a fantastic run of absolutely superb conditions with both gorgeous weather and idyllic seas.
Some lovely early photos from Gaetan this morning.

It’s terrific to have you back in the water with all 10 fingers in tact Luitz after months out of action 🙂

Thankfully some things never change… everyone is always so happy including Laura Allan, aged 6 who is back for more, brillian Laura !! 🙂

A small selection of some of today’s beautiful marine life…

It’s great to see so many people making the most of these magic conditions with 10 swimmers enjoying an early lap, 8 swimmers continuing on after the regular swim and 4 for yet another lap !

As John pointed out this morning at apres swim; since we have been tracking our distance we have collectively swum further than the circumference of the equator, check it out on our Pacific Challenge here while you’re there you may just note that John is also level pegging with Neil !! Good job you came back for a swim this week Neil 😉
It’s wonderful to see Bruce Paterson, our most senior participant, enjoying a morning swim, thanks to Iain 🙂

A lovely collection of photos and vidoes from some of yesterday’s activities:
Tim’s vibrant photo of yesterday’s sunrise as our trailblazers entered the water at 6.20am 🙂

A great video here from Michel’s snorkel yesterday afternoon. Michel likes the Bluefin Trevally, but my favourite is the Port Jackson… I love the way Mich filmed him so still as he swam all the way round him 🙂
To view a great selection of photos from Gaetan of the Dee Why swimmers yesterday please click here
A couple of great B&B on tour photos too: Jenny M in Yallingup and Saane Dreyer keeping up the swimming in Bo-Warra 🙂

Please note that Michael has written this as a swimmer and it his opinion only. It is written with the intention of creating discussion, sharing experience and helping people to stay calm and safe in the water. It’s well worth the read if you haven’t already.

It was certainly Sunday Social today – as Madlen and I swam back from Shelly on the Aquarium route, we kept bumping into groups of social swimmers relaxing, chatting and enjoying the fish in the lovely calm, warmish water….. a rare treat for those of us who usually get left behind!
Some, like Michael, Robin & Derek, may have modestly announced at pares swim that they did a “quadruple” today, Jules!
Yesterday, our early swim was so lovely with the sun just rising as we got to the point (great pic, Tim), that I’m planning another one tomorrow. For any (Serious) Snails & Special Needs who panic at the thought of keeping Michael waiting at Shelly(!), that means in the water at 6.20 for a slow, relaxed swim:-)

oops – the modest announcements are always at apres swim – my spell-checker keeps misspelling it…

Sam if no one does Shelly at 6 you can come with us to QC and then turn back around the second pipe?
It will be flat tomorrow so you will be fine to swim back on your own close to the beach.
