Over 91 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

Another lovely morning with orange blades through the sky. 7 swimmers enjoyed the dawn lap and 5 swimmers continued on for a double afterwards accompanying Michael as today’s lone triple 🙂
There was a beautiful dusky right in the shallows at Shelly along with this camera shy flathead.

The dolphins didn’t join us this morning despite Retha’s best attempt to visualise Jon and Little Sarah as dolphins 😉 but we did see a large school of kingfish, lots of gropers, yellowtail, the yellow catfish and this fish ?? What is it with fish, as soon as you go down to take their photo they turn their back on you…

Plus a lovely wave to finish. Oh and lets not mention the couple of rouge bluies, thankfully they only became acquainted with a couple of people as Patrick said they were ‘potent’. Hope you’re feeling better now Patrick.

Welcome to our 10 new swimmers this morning including Mary-Gene from Boston, second from the right below, who is our 2600th swimmer !! 🙂 Amazing !!

Rowan say’s so much for our famous pink caps, he has promised to paint his head pink… fantastic idea Rowan, can’t wait to see it 🙂
It will be David Adams’ last swim with us this Saturday as he and his family are heading back to Georgia, Atlanta. Please come down and wish Dave farewell so he really misses us and comes back soon !!
Happy birthday to Nicky Piha today 🙂

Nick TB is shaving down to raise funds for the Leukemia Foundation today, he will be swimming on Friday morning to show all… please click here if you would like to sponsor him.
News just in…
One of our swimmers, Murray Stewart has just won the k4 and just smashed the k1 so he has just secured his place in the London olympics !! 🙂

You might have to paint your head pink like Rowan (or maybe you could use pink zinc cream)

Amanda from OzMusFish likes the photo – was it yours Jools? She says:
“I am leaning towards Lethrinus nebulosus Spangled Emperor but was also considering Lethrinus miniatus, Sweetlip Emperor.
Might leave the final word to Mark”. OzMus sites below:

Hi Paige, hope your finger’s OK now. We’re also hoping to show up again so everyone gets their dolphin-viewing-fix:-)) The more slowpoke Barnacles, the better – those other guys need some slowing down!
