14/7/15 – A Wayward Wander North

14/07/20154

Morning all and welcome to 16 degrees of water temperature, 60cm of south swell on a 10 second interval with a barely perceptible 10 knots of snow temps westerly. Expecting a further drop to near lake-like conditions over the next few days.

The only dilemma this morning was a few pesky Jimbals so the decision was taken to wander north and let them have the Bay for the morning.

The winking start

Sun at idle

First rays

5 degrees and counting

Getting help with more rubber as the water hits 16 degrees

Only the brave

And then there’s the really brave

Today a quiet swim out

The gathering awaits

And away

A guiding light

Going the distance with Butterfly

And the shifting sands on the northern trail

With an occasional wave for the wanderer

Halfway or there-abouts

The people you will meet

And back we go

And some friends along for the ride

And almost home

Lots of Whiting in the wait

And holding the fort, a barrage of Bream

End of the line

It was hard to get out

The warm corner with Ed holding court

In every court a bombing jester

And with a hot breakfast its hard to beat

Another spectacular swim to add to the quiver of memorable moments

Have a great week people.

Cheers

Brian

Thanks for letting us experience the vibe of the 7am swim Brian. Quite different (more light) than my 6am joint with pirate, Anna, Fifi and Ali.
