WOW! What a difference a few days make – it was positively wintery this morning! Well it looks cold but it wasn’t really – air temp about 14 and water 18.6!
154 swimmers INCLUDING 8 newbies turned up!
About 30 guys from the army (from Darwin) were working out on the beach!
This is Christian! His first swim and he was desperate to have his photo on the blog! 😀

WINTER BADGE CEREMONY BREAKFAST AT ROYAL FAR WEST
Tomorrow!
Please come along to Royal Far West (Drummond House garden area) and join in the fun of the badge ceremony tomorrow straight after the swim.
RFW will supply a sausage sizzle breaky plus drinks for a $5 donation – please pay ‘on the door’.
Each badge will cost $10 – so if you got your Winter Badge it’s $10 and WWW badge it’s $10 – if you got both it’s $20! Please also pay ‘on the door’.
Pretty PLEASE bring correct money.
It’s being held in the garden area outside of a Drummond House, Wentworth Street, (opposite Rialto Square), in Manly – OR it could be in the playground area on the beach front depending on the numbers. Either way we will be outside in the grounds at the Royal Far West School.

Good old Lesbubs filling in for someone and doing the blog. Who does Saturday’s blog now btw? It still looks like a great swim inspite of clouds, big surf and seaweed. Looking forward to seeing a good turn out tomorrow at the swim and at the Royal Far West for Badge Ceremony!

Did anyone know that not only is Lesley known for her used prophylactic collection but
typically Lesley fills in whenever a blogger can’t make it or a hole occurs in the blogger schedule.
Next time you see Bubbles, thank her (or any blogger) and give her a big cuddle!

A more challenging swim today compared to the calm conditions we have been experiencing.

I should also say there is a ‘special badge’ for Bill McPherson – it’s the S.I.T.W badge the, “Sleep-In Throughout Winter”…he slept in throughout the whole of winter – a mammouth effort!!
