14/07/2012 – Swimmers Dance

14/07/201212

109 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

Beautiful is back, what a superb morning !  In fact you could be forgiven for forgetting it’s winter, it’s so mild at the moment 🙂

Gone are the days when swimming just involved a cossie and a pair of goggles… the more equipment the better… 😉

But of course if you can find it in pink it’s even better, pink ear plugs !  Brilliant 🙂

It’s not just about swimming though, there’s the Aqua Dance as we wait at the point…

Followed by the Shelly Stance…

Then it’s time to see what aquatic delights we can find on the way back

My first Port Jackson sighting for the year 🙂

A twig fish

Some fluoro cord 🙁

And two schools of Garfish 🙂

Plus the newest edition to Maureen’s, and hence our family, the lovely bold & beautiful, House 🙂

Happy birthday to John Storch and Sean Mullaney today !! 🙂

Lots of swimmers are enjoying these beautiful calm conditions with 6 people enjoying a second lap into Shelly, Peter E led a group up to Queensie after the regular swim and a few swam down from Dee Why.

The latest bravery award goes to Ted, with the development of his Jimble sting from a couple of days ago – ouch !

But… don’t be detered, it’s not that bad… hey Ted… he’s still swimming after all 😉  Plus, tomorrow is going to be excellent with lots of sun and no surf !!!  Don’t miss it 🙂

Water Temperature 17.1

Great photos.. Especially the twig fish. They are so rare and notoriously hard to capture on camera! Are the jimbles gone yet?
Little Sarah, sorry i missed this morning. Promise I’ll be there tomorrow morning!! 🙂

Glad our sharks know that it’s a “no take” aquatic marine reserve that we swim in !

Wow! I think my girlfriend would’ve been thrilled to see this event! She just loves PINK so much! She would certainly dig those pink ear plugs, and I think she’ll want to swim just to have a reason to get them. Think it’s a good idea, though, to protect her ears from infection. By the way, you guys just showed that men can rock the color pink!
