14/03/2012 – Dolphins at Dawn

14/03/20129

Over 130 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

A fantastic turnout for a work day !  It’s hardly surprising really, as it is the best way to start any day 🙂

With everyone enjoying a lovely social swim together in the company of small waves, a super-sized tropical jellyfish, an eagle ray and a 3-barred porcupine fish to mention just a few.

9 swimmers set off at 6.30am for an early bonus lap with dolphins !! 🙂  There’s an incentive for you to join Michael for the early swim tomorrow…

12 swimmers also continued on afterwards for a double, which saw Derek D, Jon A and Michael all tripled 🙂

Emily Heal and David Washbrook had their final pre-wedding swim this morning.  They are heading off to the UK tomorrow to get married.  Congratulations and have a wonderful time !! 🙂

20 swimmers urgently needed to participate in a charity swim at Shelly this Sunday at 6.30am, you’re also welcome to join in the complementary breakfast afterwards.

Every year Cerebral Palsy Alliance hold a fundraiser called the 20/twenty Challenge. The event raises important funds for children with cerebral palsy. Without this type of fundraising some kids have to wait up to 2 years for something as basic as a wheelchair or walker.

The whole event is a 2km swim, 3km kayak and 20km hike.  Each team needs a swimmer who is required to swim 2kms as 4 laps of 500 meters from Shelly Beach.

If you can help please contact Kate asap on 0413 419 244 as they need to fill 20 spots today so all the teams can participate.

2 of our swimmers, Kristina Stoney & Nic Arney are heading off to ride their bikes 30,000km around the world, smash a world record, build an adventure learning platform and engage a wide audience in the story of everyday things!  Feel free to join them to Enrich, Inspire and Engage at worldbycycle.info

Kristina and Nic would like to invite Bold and Beautiful to join them in their send off good luck drinks at the Opera Bar from 4pm this Sunday.  There will be a raffle and prizes too 🙂  Good Luck guys !!!

Plus, not to go unmentioned, we also had 4 happy swimmers who enjoyed an early journey swim up to Queensie and back; the 3 musketeers below plus James the cameraman 😉
