I’ll
start with a quote because i know you’re a cultured lot.
“sunday
is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week.”
― henry wadsworth longfellow
A cautionary word of warning. Dont drink beer, tequila, margaritas, red wine and then
more beer the night before your due to swim and blog. NOT a good mix, trust me.
Maybe i should have had a double shot coffee like Rainer did.

So,
it’s sunday, the end of another week, a day of rest. Well, a day of rest for
some, others (about 195 others to be precise ) thought it was a good idea to
swim in the ocean.
Obviously
not that many people were put off by swimming on the 13th. No one was too
unlucky today i’m pleased to say .however ….it appears there were a few
close calls (see below) the camera really does capture the moment.

I didnt see any jimbles or blue bottles today so it wasnt a bad swim at all, it was quite clear at the point too.

And meanwhile over at Shelly….

Lesley

Then a quick swim back to the club and off to breakfast
Slater & Waldorf say “Hi”

What
a week its been, lots of key numbers to recap on:
1.
4000, the number of b&b swimmers broke the big 4k at last!
2.
42, degrees on Tuesday. What a scorcher that was
3.
77, TV star Wilfs Decks age and he is still doing triahalons!!!
Latest
news on the grapevine is that Wilf (resident TV star & B&B regular) is
shortly moving to Hollywood to star in the next Die Hard movie alongside Bruce Willis. Word must have quickly spread that he is a real life action man
and TV natural. Wilf 77 was heard saying at breakfast “ I’m still fit as a
butchers dog and natural infront of the camera, im surprised I wasn’t
snapped up by talent scouts before now.”
GO WILF! Dont forget your friends when your rich and famous.

Mrs Smurf strikes a pose

And at Bluewater today…..

And Finally….
A couple of shots from Jack and John with the unseen alice behind the camera
at shiga kogen in Japan

Todays
sunny Sunday stats
B&B swimmers: 195
bolderdahers: Zero
water
temp: 21.8c
sunrise:
it certainly did
sunset:
we’re in trouble if it dosent
i
started with a quote so i may aswell end with one too
i
have often wanted to drown my troubles, but i can’t get my wife to go swimming.
― jimmy carter
(come
on laugh, it’s only a joke.)
Thats all for now folks.
See you next Sunday
Tim

Great dusty blog Tim – don’t ever do one without a big night before!
I added a video of yesterday’s 10km swim late yesterday, repeating it here for those that may have not “blogged-in” late in the day, http://youtu.be/5GUEmd2MoKc

Hi. James G had the good idea that we should all wear something pink to Jules and Michael’s farewell this afternoon.

Superb blog Tim. You can’t go wrong opening with a blog tart shot..
Stephen – just watched your 10k video. Love it!! When is the full feature length movie coming out? Will there be sharks? Jimbles? The soundtrack would suggest that.
Note regarding today’s attendance, the blog plug in says ‘2’ but this seems to refer to tomorrow’s attendance. Aparently only John Hiron and Michael C have committed to swimming tomorrow. If you click on Pacific Challenge you will see the correct stats for today. We had 190 swimmers in total. Lesbutt and I recorded everything correctly. Tim’s 195 includes 5 ‘double tickers’ which were caught after blog publication. You know who you are. You will hear from us..

Great blog Tim.
Great video Stephen. Awesome coverage of the swims.
I would like to raise a concern I have with the integrity of the PC. My concern is for the craftiness and the depth at which the evil genius, Little Scheming Sarah Abbott has infiltrated the database by inserting her sidekick Lips Noak into the data input team. You can see by the responsible look on Lips face that accuracy might not be at the top of the list of his priorities.
To add insult to injury, please observe the attendance list today where LSSA has been included in the Shelley swim. Feeding MC at breakfast will not be of an advantage now, so LSSA has taken care of business while still in HK.
Genius.

Not only double tickers but also no show tickers – when clearly they were doing a modelling shoot on the rocks – Izzy! So brazen, out there for all of us to see and yet ticking off her name on the Bolderdash Sheet!! 😀
Thanks to all 12 people who helped upload the attendance – Michael C looking on in horror and to quote him “it’s like watchin a bloody loada elephants mating, loadsa noise, drama and with no end result’

Tim you put my childlike photoshopping skills to shame!! Awesome job with Wilf – although…maybe that IS what Wilf is packing under his wetsuit??

Well voiced DWSS. As half the undercover integrity police I believe on our spot check today uncovered a literal plethora of deceit, ambiguous swimming, double dipping, nepotism and cronyism with the pink caps infiltrated at all levels by and international gang.
Two cunning and fraudulent scams have now been uncovered, more evil than the airplane game of the late 80’s..
See Lips Noak (Australian mouthpiece of the gang) or LSSA (queen of the HK Triad) for;
$100 for a ten km tick
$20 for the soft ten km tick (no takers to date)
$50 for a six km tick
$10 for a bolder tick
$5 for a shelley tick
or shout Mr 1008.5km (I make the rules MC) breakfast for a range of services
DWSS we’ll need to be evermore vigilant and attentive and starting next week I suggest we commence operation ‘A Column’.

I think that’s a record!
I’m also claiming in the background of Annie Smurf.
Tim, the brown paper bag is to the right of your front door. Great intellectual blog with two of my favourite quoted humans from opposite ends of the political spectrum! Reminiscent of Visigoth days!
Jalna it has not gone unnoticed that you have passed me on the Pacific Challenge whilst I’m on holidays. The gauntlet is down!

Thank you for appreciating all the effort it’s taken to become HK Triad Queen. Manly is a mere little outpost, but I still keep a close eye on our operation there.
Yes, as you’ve observed so well, I now have Lips in charge of not only the Blog Tarting and all Blogging Operations, keeping any eye on the Blogging guys we’ve assigned for front-desk duties in the line of fire, but as from today, Lips is now in charge of all data records, PC rules and collection of all fees. We just give Simon the title of “Dear Leader”, to avoid the bullets.
For those who prefer not to have the inconvenience of carrying bags of cash, we’ll give you a bank account number for direct transfers. Much more convenient all round. I know you’ll all appreciate that our jet-set lifestyles need special funding.
p.s. the rates are double for those like Rough Diamond or Claims-he-saw-a-Dolphin who have the temerity to challenge the gang. No charge for the Bloggers and Blog Tarts like Annie Yay and Wilf who so kindly keep me company on swims and are in training for our Triad activities. When we send Wilf on overseas Triathalons, in fact this is for exposure to our international operations.
(Btw, Rough Diamond – impressed at how you manage to be in the Japanese snow and go undercover in Manly on the same day. Have to admit to being a tad disappointed with Young Jack, who I’ve personally worked so hard to recruit, at not monitoring your subversive computer and swimming activities. Note to self: also need to work harder on Christian, “Don’t trust my Dad”, on return:-))

Jalna, as you never look at “that silly PC”, feel free to transfer all mileage points you pay for into my PC account anytime too.
The 10Ks are really good value – have you noticed how we give a bonus Shelly with them? And if you slow down a little to swim by my side on return, then all charges will be waived. (Of course, you have to assist us a little with those bothersome attendance sheet records by keeping RD and ChsaD away from Dear Leader:-)

Party Girl, miss you lots too….. One little favour – would you mind taking RD & ChsaD to the Boatshed when you go for the nights?
Have fun everyone today for the big party for Jules & Michael. J & M – thinking of you. Lips and I will be in touch, keeping M supplied with breakfasts so he can still pull some strings and making sure Jules continues to give all our schemes her blessing:-) Remember, B&B Triad Reunion on May 1st!

HK Triad Queen Little Sarah we miss you and look forward to your return!(Well not everyone eager for your place in the first column!) Your ears will be burning this afternoon at the Farewell picnic no doubt!!

Absolutely is. I’ll show you tomorrow.
What worries me is that I have no memory of this photo being taken.
However I do seem to recall the existence of a couple of undesirable conditions associated with memory loss in old guys.

So Rat Cunning aka LSSA has finally been outed. Next thing you know you’ll be donating a portion of the extortion payments to the Far West Children’s Association to set up a kindly-looking front!
On another matter, a massive surf-charged, salty and stinger-free thank you to Julie and Michael for getting B&B going and keeping it going as it blossomed and grew. Best of everything on the West Coast. You’ll be in our minds while we swim those seemingly endless Bolderdash meters around North Steyne Surf Club, pour our hot water bottles over our heads, count the duskies and discover we’ve forgotten our après-swim underclothing! Much love….
