59 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
The conditions are settling, well at least we thought they were with sets of 3 nice waves rolling into Manly and long lulls in between.

Well that was until we were almost out, when two rogue waves came through !!! Making everyone pretty excitable 😉

Pretty happy there were only two of those monsters… but keeping a watchful eye there weren’t any others coming through

The handful of swimmers that chose the half way option made a good choice !
I think the adrenaline had started to settle by the time we got to Shelly.

Russell’s certainly not leaving much exposed for the jimbles or the cold with his full neoprene balaclava under his cap 🙂

Chris and Michael both in the pink but feeling the breeze a little differently…

Plenty of us were very happy to choose tranquil half way for the way back 🙂

Walking the line back to Manly – it’s softer on our delicate little tootsies

While others chose the fun of the waves

3 swimmers enjoyed a double lap with John MS for his last swim, of what has been a great weekend with us, as he returns to Wagga today.
Tomorrow the seas are predicted to be calmer still with a little sun too. There’s only 18 days of winter left so make the most of them 🙂
Today is the start of the 12th week of winter and 122 swimmers have currently qualified for their winter badge so far ! With another 93 on target and another 88 who need to swim soon to make sure they don’t miss out…

Nicolee and Jeff look lovely and rugged up whilst I had discarded two layers in the city and ended up being freezing at Bondi! Well done to you both!

Millions of tiny salps have been washed up on the beach at Manly Cove for the last 3 days. They must have a very low survival rate.

Another film recommendation – “The Sapphires” is wonderful, very funny, very moving, a real feel-good film and based on fact.
