13/07/14 Cheeky!

13/07/20147

“Don’t look into the light, don’t look into the light ……..

…..but it’s so beautiful”

Thankfully it was only the dust cart, welcoming me to our favourite spot.

There was me thinking that Jk had gone up in a puff of smoke.

But I found him tucking into an apple. What’s that JK? You had two?
Some lovely B&B’er shared their apples with us this morning.

John Bond putting on his hoodie, after taking it off to take the water temperature and before taking it off again to go swimming? Should just leave it off John!

“Yes, that’s it. Turn right at those rocks and head onto Shelly”

* WARNING…..this next photo may cause people to choke on their coffee, it may also be offensive to young children*
So there is me just innocently taking photos of us all heading down the ramp……’preparing for our swim’

WAIT! What the?!

Let’s move on quickly to the underwater shots!

The male and female groupers.

And the Cuttlefish, who charged at me!

Spot the fish competition….

Get to Shelly, and lo and behold …..more CHEEKS! What is it with these chilly 17.3 degree waters that make the budgies come out in force? 🙂
Back to base…..enjoy your Sunday folks!

B&B on tour time.
The Triple J’s enjoying their time in Marrakech , Morocco

Jeff, Jill and John say Hello!

LOST BUT NOT FOUND…….YET

Helen? Lost her Speedo swimmer bottoms in the Ladies Changimg room. Did you accidentally pick up a pair of black bottoms? If so, she’d love to be reunited with them….comment on the bottom of the blog, or pass to Ian or JK and hopefully they can be reunited with their owner.

Event …..Miles, one of our swimmers who swam across the English Channel recently, will be back soon and celebrating at the Havana Bar with an event. More details soon, I’m sure.

The Important Stuff

Week 7 of the Winter Badge season.

There are 14 weeks in the winter season. To qualify for the prized Cold & Bold Badge you simply need to swim 20 times within the season ensuring you have swum in aminimum of 7 different weeks. So, attempting to do it all in the first few weeks does not count!! Make sure you use the i-Log to register your without wetsuit for the WWW badge.

B&B i-Log

The B&B i-Log is the best way to capture your swims!! Log your swim ANYTIME of day using this really efficient and easy way to ensure your swim is recorded in the daily attendance and on the Pacific Challenge.. To get started, send an email to Ian Forster ugoboyo@gmail.com(This is not a link so please copy and paste into your email). He will check that your email address is activated on the attendance register then send you info on how to get started.

Staying safe

There may not be any waves just at the moment, but are you prepared for their return? Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to
know your limits. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

I just snorkeled from the point to halfway. So many fish. Just wondering whether it’s cheeky to tick for this swim? 🙂

The goggles would belong to an early finisher as they were in the shower cubicle when I arrived and no one owned up to them.

I swam my first ever B&B on Sunday 13/7 and managed to get myself into an unflattering photo on the blog – my life’s ambition seems fulfilled. Also nice to say I had a number of people chat and introduce themselves whilst waiting for the “Let’s Go” call. Thanks for a nice morning and a very welcoming atmosphere, I will return…
