66 Bold and Beautiful Swimmers!
It did look really beautiful …… but hard to believe this time last week was so hot!!

Because here is Patrick arriving dressed for winter which gives you an idea of how cold it was! (The thermometre read the air temperature as 11 degrees!!)

Wilf psyching himself up for the swim… and also ..hee hee a photo I took of Wilf on the Cancer Walk a few weeks ago – didn’t know he had so much hair under his pink cap!! 😀

A visit from little Lilou wearing her cool new Ray Bans…

The waves were big one minute …flat the next..and so on…

Once we were out there waiting at the point – it was really beautiful! Even though the air temp/wind was cold the water is definitely warmer…
An icy HEAD WIND all the way back from Shelly – but a great beach break to bring us all back in…
Photos from Stephen C…

Is that Neil I see in the third photograph? Back to overtake me in the Pacific Challenge? Taking advantage of my absence? Welcome back Neil, Don’t worry, I’ll be back on Sunday.

Yes John thanks I arrived safe and sound no thanks to my travel companions. Even had to hold my own boarding pass getting on the plane.
I will sleep in my running clothes as I’m so excited about Sunday.
We are in serious carb loading mode. Cakes and chocolates should put us in top shape.
Don’t be too sad without me around !

Joan, you got the timing right…..freezing here today, snow in the hills. Changing was brrr….
Had a hair-cut and everyone in the salon was shocked (impressed??) I’d been in the ocean. “Madness…..even the Manly ferry had stopped running because of the rough seas,” I was told. They don’t realise how sheltered our little spot is.
Lesley, love the Little Lilou pic:-))
