The throng gathered slightly north of our usual location, due to a beach race being held today. A sky that bettered the background in any Frazetta fantasy artwork the reward for this slight shift from normal.
Freshly groomed sand beguiling to the sole in an otherwise brumal transit. Gentle shore breaks beckoned us deeper, concealing a chill, abrupt as the clarity of a better question and stimulating to the core with equal measure.
Some swim to avoid sinking, whilst others for the discovery of more. Those seekers among us, pausing across the bay, rewarded with a regal golden glow. Igniting smiles, burning wisps of cloud and sending both to mornings yet unwoken.
On turning, the glow flickered in a hundred bower windows. Each a single candle marking the birth of another day born in the boldness and the beauty of our own little empire, upon which the sun will always dawn.
The B&B camera had flat batteries this morning, so today’s swim was impossible to capture.
For those who can’t read, here’s a photo I prepared several days ago.
It was kinda like this, but better.
Also, an expression of gratitude, to to gorgeous Elizabeth Stewart who consistently steps up to blog at short notice.
With love,
Andrew Maher.

Thanks Andrew. Good thing you got the blog in early or I would have stepped in yet again. Just ask Gino. Breezy swim today with a bit of sun but I persevered because I was inspired by those extraordinry people doing sand running today. Wow
