It’s good to be back in Manly after a 2 week stint up the northern coast of NSW. There’s nothing like getting home and back in the water.
It looks as though the group has grown while I have been gone. There were loads of swimmers in the water today which is great to see, but we do need to remember to wait at the point on the way over. Shelley You need to be sure that you can see the surf club from the point. If you can’t see it, you have gone too far.

With Lucy greeting Newbies today the group will increase in no time. No wonder we have such huge numbers.

Seeing as I am still in holiday mode i am keeping the blog simple today. We had Jenny come for a swim this morning with her friends from Germany. I hope that you all enjoyed the swim as much as we do.

Gotta love the German style of swimwear

Here is newbie Geoff who was really happy to be joining us this morning. He can now tick that one off his bucket list. Welcome Geoff.

Lara & Geoff making the most of their time while at the point.
Everyone huddles at the point. This is the perfect time to get cuddles.

Myself, Mary, Lucy & Toni

Now for some underwater aquarium action.

Watch out for the Groper behind you!!!

For those of you wondering why the blog took so long today. Here is the reason. A lovely breakfast on Manly Beachfront is always an easy distraction.

Enjoy your weekend everyone and see you all next week.

Well done to all the swimmers who completed the 6k or 10k challenge swims today, especially any first timers. Although there was some changes to the courses due to the ‘Dukes’ festival at Freshwater, the conditions looked ideal. I wish I could have joined you.
A special thank you to Maureen for organising the much appreciated food and drinks on the beach at Manly and also to Annette and Anne.

Thanks to Maureen, Anne and Annette for being there at the break on the 10K swim today and Maureen and Annette for waiting until it was all over with their picnic for us as we were finishing as well.
Thanks to John (007) Bond for the thought and organisation he puts into the long swims as well. He planned an excellent and accurate course for us today and its a shame he couldn’t do any more than oversee the effort today.
Thanks as well to all those that participated in the long swims today – it was a great way to spend saturday morning. We were lucky to have such good conditions.
Maybe some of the 1st time 6K swimmers would like to back up for a 10K next month. Thanks Mary for taking over leadership of the 6K back into Shelly as well.

The swim wad lovely this morning. I intended to swim the 10km but couldn’t find the group at the point. Perhaps I was in the wrong spot or got there early and didnt wait long enough.
All I could see was the swimmers passing me as they swam towards the club. I then headed further towards the clubhouse. Lucy advised that I should swim back out which I did but I still couldn’t find you all. I hope to join you for a 6km and the next 10km, I will wear my contact lenses next time and a better listening hat and maybe glue myself to another swimmer to meet at the point 🙂

What an amazing morning, what an amazing group of people and what an amazing place in which we live. It was..amazing. My first B&B swim, I was really quite nervous to start with but once in the water after my first dive under I felt like I belonged. Everything was perfect and the people so friendly! Thanks, I’ll be back next Saturday!
